As the fourth president of Kaohsiung University, I am willing to lead all teachers and students to sprint forward in a United and harmonious atmosphere with curiosity and an open mind. I am convinced that Kaohsiung University will become a first-class university. Why would I think that? First of all, I will explain it according to the weather, geographical location, people and campus environment. As for "weather", in fact, as long as we are ready, any time is a good opportunity, and naturally there is weather. In terms of "geographical location", the original intention of Kaohsiung University was to promote the Asia-Pacific operation center. The geographical location is close to science and technology parks, industrial parks and software parks, and it is quite close to high-speed rail, Taiwan Railway, MRT station and Xiaogang Airport. There are also many important industrial settlements nearby, which provide opportunities for schools and industries to learn from each other, grow and practice, so we have a good geographical position. In terms of "human harmony", about half of the students in the school rank in the top 10 of 70 universities in China. Among the five colleges in the school, the School of Science and the Institute of Technology account for 49% of the teachers in the school, and the scale of the Institute of Technology in the school can be said to be quite complete. There are also good industries near the school, such as Sinosteel, Sunshine, Nanzi Processing Zone and Kaohsiung Science Park.
