The average weight of an adult bull is 1200 kg, and the average weight of a cow is 600 kg. Limousin cattle are big, grow fast, have more muscles and less fat. The early growth rate is fast, and it is famous for its high meat production performance and more lean meat in the carcass. Their beef grade is obviously higher than ordinary beef, so they are very competitive in the beef market. Because this kind of cow can produce marbled beef when it is 8 months old, it is the main variety of beef produced in European countries such as France.
