Metalworking practice report

The two-week metalworking practice ended, which brought us unforgettable memories. For me, who is not very practical, metalworking practice is of great significance. After two weeks' metalworking practice, I learned a lot of metalworking knowledge, and got a preliminary understanding of milling machine, sheet metal, lathe counting, milling, wire cutting, heat treatment and casting, as well as industrial safety knowledge. In this process, I have mastered certain skills, improved my hands-on ability, and learned many other things, such as a serious attitude towards work, a rigorous style, a spirit of careful observation, and a good sense of security. Although I was a little tired during my metalworking internship, I was very gratified by the harvest. My understanding of the workers these days also made me respect them.

Before metalworking practice

Very early, when I was a freshman, I had heard about metalworking practice, but I only heard about it from my seniors. I only saw them coming back from the workshop in military uniforms, and the little tiredness on their faces cast a mysterious veil over the metalworking practice in my heart. When I asked them for advice, they only told me that metalworking practice is a very practical technical basic course, and it is a compulsory course for engineering students to learn the basic process methods and technologies of mechanical technology manufacturing and complete the basic engineering training, and the feelings need to be experienced by ourselves. So I have been looking forward to metalworking practice.

It's finally our turn to practice metalworking. On the first morning, I walked into the industrial training center with some expectation and excitement, as well as curiosity and questions about metalworking practice. Before the internship officially started, we went to a safety lecture. The teacher especially emphasized the safety problems that must be paid attention to in metalworking practice: he told us many violations of discipline in students' metalworking practice in the past: many students didn't wear work clothes, didn't apply for internship certificates, didn't take their work attitude seriously enough, and some even dozed off. He also mentioned some serious accidents caused by not observing the safety system and discipline. While we are in fear, we have also branded an iron principle in our hearts: safety first! The teacher seemed to see through our minds and gave us a reassurance: as long as the safety system and discipline are strictly observed, metalworking practice is definitely a safe and rewarding pleasant process.

Start metalworking practice

After all the preparations were finished, we officially started our internship-

plain lathe

The first internship project that I remember vividly is lathe, where I deeply realized the role of calmness, calmness and carefulness. Our practice is to cut a cylinder into a ball. At first, I thought it would be very simple when I watched the teacher play with the lathe, but I didn't know the difficulty until I operated it myself. When cutting, I want to use the horizontal and vertical moving handles of the lathe.

It is not easy. At the beginning, I always didn't know how to coordinate the speed of the two. Sometimes I always move the handle horizontally, but the handle moves vertically too slowly, cutting the circle into a cylindrical surface. When I stood up again, I was too nervous. When I cut too deep in the horizontal direction, I didn't know how to turn the longitudinal handle quickly, which led to another failure. Calm down and reflect on yourself and find yourself too nervous and not calm enough. You can't do this job without a certain concentration and courage to keep calm. So in the next few times, I was careful and tried my best to cut calmly. Although I sometimes cut badly, I finally finished my work for me. Looking at my poor work, I made up my mind not to be so impatient in the future. I should calm down and finish it calmly. I must be in no hurry.

Count cars

We know from the lathe workers we have learned before that lathes mainly use various turning tools to process internal and external cylindrical surfaces, conical surfaces, the surfaces and end faces of molded revolving bodies, and various internal and external threads. You can also use drill, reamer and reamer to process holes, and tap and die to process internal and external threads. There are many kinds of lathes, which can be divided into ordinary lathes, hexagonal lathes, vertical lathes, single-axis automatic lathes, multi-axis automatic and semi-automatic lathes, multi-tool lathes, copying lathes and special lathes according to different uses and structures.

But in terms of more accurate requirements, the workpieces coming out of the car obviously can't meet the requirements of modernization, so we went one step further and learned to count cars.

Before we start work, we are still studying whether this number should be pronounced as the fourth or third tone. When you come to the workshop, there is no doubt that counting cars refers to digital lathe workers. :0

Numerical control machine tool is the product of the comprehensive application of computer, automatic control, automatic detection and precision machinery. It is a typical mechatronics processing equipment with high technical density and high degree of automation. Compared with ordinary machine tools, it has obvious advantages. It not only has high processing precision and stable product quality, but also has a high degree of automation, which can reduce the physical labor intensity of workers and greatly improve production efficiency. It is particularly worth mentioning that CNC machine tools can process complex surfaces that are difficult or impossible for ordinary machine tools, so CNC machine tools play an increasingly important role in machinery manufacturing. But we should clearly realize that whether the advantages mentioned above can be realized depends on whether the operator can use them properly and correctly in production. Because no matter what machine tool, it has its own set of operating procedures. It is not only one of the important measures to ensure the safety of operators, but also an important measure to ensure the safety of equipment and product quality. Users must operate correctly according to the operating procedures. If the machine tool is used for the first time or is not used for a long time, let it idle for a few minutes first, and pay attention to the sequence of switching on and off and matters needing attention in use (such as returning to the reference point manually or automatically with program instructions after starting), which should be paid enough attention to especially for novices (like us), because people who lack corresponding operation training are often prone to make mistakes in this respect.

On the day of counting cars, we collectively sat on stools to write programs, and the programmed programs were first used on the computer to simulate the programs line by line, which was the result of mental work.

CAD center design

I've done a lot of manual work. It's time to use my brain. We came to the CAD center and learned some drawing software. The first thing we learned was solidwork. The teacher asked us to draw a picture according to our own ideas after self-study. I finally understand how to use this software. It's time for us to make a big fist. Like children, we draw what we think through this software. There are all kinds of things, including drawing mobile phones and monitors, and some of their strange ideas. I drew a package of washing powder in my mind. After an hour or two of hard work, I finally finished my work, although it is still much worse than many students. However, it still needs hard work to draw a good picture. We should not only master this software well, make good use of various drawing skills, but also design novel and unique works, which requires our creativity. Therefore, this mapping practice is not only that we have mastered a software and a skill, but also that we have deeply realized the fun of innovation and the great role it brings. Only innovation can make achievements and make industrial technology and science and technology advance by leaps and bounds.

cast

Casting = playing with sand. Using sand as a model really feels like building sand by the river when I was a child. I think the most important thing in casting is to know the steps of making your own mold, otherwise it will be wasted because one step is missing. In addition, this is also a test of our patience. Be patient when making models, especially when repairing them. Once we are impetuous in the process of doing it, it will become more and more troublesome and fall short.

heat treatment

Heat treatment is a relatively easy job. The principle of heat treatment is probably that the heat treatment of steel is a technological method to change the microstructure of steel through solid state heating, insulation and cooling, so as to obtain the required properties. The heat treatment process can be represented by a graph with "temperature-time" as the coordinate. Heat treatment plays an important role in mechanical manufacturing. For example, drill bits, saw blades and dies must have high hardness and wear resistance in order to keep sharp and achieve the purpose of machining metals. Therefore, in addition to selecting suitable materials, heat treatment must be carried out to meet the above requirements. In addition, heat treatment can also improve the technological properties of the blank, such as improving the machinability of the material, saving labor in cutting, reducing tool wear and improving the surface quality of the workpiece.

After metal processing

During the ten-day metalworking practice, I really had a good time, even a little happy that I didn't know the time. The teachers who guide us are all easy-going. When we are not enlightened or unlucky, they always patiently explain to us over and over again, and even teach us skills hand in hand. We finally feel how important it is to practice without metalworking practice. If one day we leave school, what is the difference between electrodes, vises, lathes and milling machines? The original nut can be polished by hand, and the casting material is sand ... It is conceivable that the metalworking practice has given us valuable practical knowledge. Moreover, we have to get up early every day during the internship, and we can't be absent from work or late, which is another big test of our discipline! In metalworking practice, we abide by the safety rules, obey the guidance of the instructor, and strictly abide by discipline. Finally, after the internship, I solved my previous doubts and understood the significance of metalworking internship: it is to let us treat ourselves as steel materials in our labor practice, and constantly beat and hone ourselves in the melting pot of our motherland, so that our body and spirit can be continuously improved and sublimated and cast into an excellent workpiece!

It is said that practice is the only criterion for testing truth. In this pleasant metalworking practice, I gained a lot, upgraded myself to a higher level, and learned many things that I can't learn in textbooks: cooperation, patience, rigor and so on.
