He is currently the president of the Institute of Heavy Machinery of Yanshan University. Since teaching, he has taught key courses such as Sintering Pelletizing Equipment, Engineering Elastic Foundation, Latest Progress of Sintering Technology and Design and Calculation of Environmental Engineering Equipment. Many doctoral students and master students have been trained.

The main research fields are: structural analysis and modern design methods of smelting equipment, equipment transformation and environmental management of metallurgical plants, research and design of environmental protection equipment, etc. The main research directions are: the theory and application technology of non-contact adiabatic magnetic fluid seal with integral communication of negative pressure cavity; Research on sintering machine and virtual manufacturing technology driven by compound toothed star wheel with uniform variable speed logic movement: research on finishing mechanism and application technology of narrow curved cavity inner wall: research on external end-to-end sealing of bellows of high negative pressure contact sintering machine: research on integrated equipment of efficient wet desulfurization and dust removal.

Over the years, he led the comrades of the research group to tackle key problems together, presided over the completion of 32 scientific research projects as the first finisher, and granted patents 1 1. Completed the monograph 1 department (supported by the national key research projects in the seventh five-year plan and the eighth five-year plan) and edited 2 books. Presided over the authoritative reference book "Large Sintering Equipment". Published dozens of academic papers.
