Reflection on English Teaching in Grade Eight: Fan Wenyi
This semester's education and teaching work is coming to an end. After a semester, I have a lot of feelings and experiences. Now I will briefly introduce the situation and communicate with my colleagues.
This semester, I am teaching English in Class 8 (1) and Class 2. The 97 students in these two classes are basically from peasant families. Most of them have a weak English learning foundation, which brings some difficulties to education and teaching, especially in Class (2), where the students' foundation is not solid. The best is in Class (2), and the worst is there. Moreover, there are many poor students, and there are faults. It is impossible for people to start teaching effectively.
In view of this situation, I have taken some measures that I think are more effective. According to the students' foundation, I divide the students into three groups: A, B and C, and arrange different levels of tasks and homework every day, so that each student can make different progress. Most rural students only know 26 English letters before they go to junior high school. The huge vocabulary of this book makes students feel at a loss. It is difficult to master phonetic symbols. So it often happens in class. It will take me about a class to teach students to learn phonetic symbols and read words, and the effect is often unsatisfactory. But students will still get stuck in new words when they practice in the next class. In class, I tried to help those students with poor foundation to answer some simple questions and make some simple dialogues. Some students became more confident than before. Later, these students were able to raise their hands to answer questions. This is a gratifying achievement. As long as they work hard on their own, I think their promotion will be much faster. At the same time, I don't forget to improve my students and strive to improve my original studious students. It is also gratifying to let students who learn more easily try to answer more difficult questions. Although the design questions are sometimes difficult, they can still be done after guidance. In addition, I also ask students to recite what they learned that day, every word, every conversation and every short article, so as to cultivate their sense of language in learning English. I think this is very important for language learners.
This book contains *** 10 units, so there are too many textbooks and not enough time. Then, according to the regulations, there are 5 class hours per week, and the first semester of Grade 8 uses 90 class hours. Unless the national statutory holidays and peacetime evaluation, examination papers and supporting exercises are evaluated, the teaching task will not be completed. In view of this situation, and in order to lay a good foundation for students, I can only work overtime to cook in a small stove, and make use of morning reading classes and evening self-study time to supplement exercises and strengthen training. I am very tired, but I often get twice the result with half the effort.
The new textbook requires us to face all students and lay the foundation for their all-round development and lifelong development. My understanding is that "all students" is quantity. "All-round development" is quality. Quality and quantity should be grasped together, and neither can be lost. Therefore, in the teaching process, my key is to let students "learn to learn". From students' dependence on teachers to autonomous learning. At the same time, compared with previous teaching, we should pay more attention to students' learning emotions and create a relaxed, democratic and harmonious learning atmosphere for students. In the teaching process, we should treat students' mistakes in the learning process with a relaxed attitude and communicate with students on an equal footing. Don't use scolding and sarcastic language, especially insulting language for students with learning difficulties, use more encouraging language, give them more opportunities to practice their language, use less imperative language and use more suggestive language.
On the road of English teaching practice, I keep exploring, studying and researching. Although I am very bitter and tired, I also see that my classmates are improving day by day and their English expression is getting better day by day. I deeply feel a sense of pride and happiness. I am willing to be a tireless English teaching practitioner forever and experience the joy of teaching forever.
Reflection on English Teaching in Grade Eight: Fan Wener
It is suggested that the curriculum reform should advocate holistic education and emphasize that the curriculum should promote the healthy development of each student's body and mind, and cultivate students' good quality and lifelong learning ability. The new curriculum reform advocates exchange and cooperation and independent innovative learning. The key to the success or failure of curriculum reform lies in teachers, who are the implementers of curriculum reform. Here is a brief review of some English teaching work done this year.
First, face all students and lay the foundation for their all-round development and lifelong development.
1. Create various situations, encourage students to speak English boldly, and adopt a tolerant attitude towards the mistakes made in the learning process.
According to the situation in the textbook, reproduce it in the classroom and create new situations, such as teaching "What's your name? How old are you? At this time, there are some contexts, such as "Little Singer Contest is reported everywhere", "Lost children and police", "Making new friends", "Doctors and sick children" and "introducing yourself", so that students can actively participate and exercise their English expression ability and courage on the platform. If teachers greet students in the morning and evening, say thank you and say goodbye, students are used to communicating with me with hello, good morning, thank you, you're welcome, goodbye and goodbye. In this way, students' communicative competence in using English can be developed invisibly, and their habit of using English creatively and flexibly can also be cultivated.
2. Pay attention to students' comprehensive ability of listening, speaking, reading and writing in the teaching process, and encourage students to speak boldly and apply it to practice.
Let the students listen to the dialogue in each lesson first, then read aloud and perform. There should be no more than four people in each group. Before the performance, all junior classes should be prepared to practice and encourage the expansion of innovative dialogue. During the performance, students are required not only to have correct pronunciation and intonation, but also to pay attention to expressions, gestures, postures and other means of communication. For example, practice. Is this coat yours? In this sentence pattern, I walked into the classroom with a jacket in my hand and asked: Whose jacket is this? Is this jacket yours? At this time, the students are very curious and want to know whose jacket this is. So, I practiced with the students, so I asked the students to find its owner by themselves. Students take this jacket and ask others: Is this jacket yours? Teachers can also use illustrations to create scenes, cultivate students' innovative spirit, and let students make up a dialogue according to the picture content. Students will use what they have learned to make up dialogues.
3. Create conditions for students to find their own problems and solve them independently.
Second, create a relaxed and harmonious atmosphere.
In the process of teaching, we should pay attention to communication with students, so that students can eliminate their fear of English learning. Only when they are interested in English can they keep the motivation to learn English and get good grades. Rigid learning will not only affect the effect of English learning, but also make them hate learning English. Therefore, creating a relaxed and harmonious learning atmosphere is conducive to English learning.
1. Respect every student and actively encourage them to try boldly.
It is not enough to cultivate students' creative personality only by creating teaching situations. Teachers should first have the spirit of innovation, pay attention to creating a relaxed and harmonious teaching atmosphere, respect individual students, seize every opportunity to stimulate students' desire for innovation, and make an objective, fair, enthusiastic and sincere evaluation of students' learning behavior, learning results and reactions. ...
2. Encourage students to read the text aloud and recite it, so that students can hear their own voices and gradually become fluent. Promote students to learn from each other, help each other and experience a sense of accomplishment.
3. For students with weak foundation or introverted personality, lower their learning standards and encourage them to have a sense of accomplishment when they make a little progress.
Poor students often don't pay enough attention in class, so I will change the teaching materials from difficult to easy, turn more into less, concentrate on teaching and practicing more, and try my best to create a pleasant classroom atmosphere. Poor students are often afraid to speak because they are shy, so I try to ask them questions with moderate difficulty; Tell them to write affirmative sentences on the blackboard; Read the text that has been read many times in advance, and when the poor students get it right. I always say "very good" with a smile on my face. They often get these two kinds of stimuli, so the habit of poor students opening their mouths is gradually developed. After a semester, the poor students' sense of participation has been greatly strengthened and their fear has been eliminated.
4. Establish a good relationship between teachers and students, and often reflect on the shortcomings in the learning process with students and correct them.
Teaching and learning are a pair of contradictions, and how teachers and students as both sides of the contradiction coordinate the relationship between teachers and students is very important for the completion of teaching. If they have a good impression on a teacher, are interested in the teacher's course and pay special attention to it, they are willing to take the course of Atmospheric Mechanics. If they don't like a teacher, it's because they are rebellious and don't want to learn or learn the teacher's class. Therefore, teachers should go deep into students, mingle with them, understand the changes of students' interests, hobbies and emotions, always care for students, love them, respect them and help them. In this way, the relationship between teachers and students can be harmonious, feelings can be harmonious, and learning can be full of interest.
3. Memory method
Learning a language means speaking more, remembering more and memorizing more. As long as you get home, the difficulty of learning English will be solved. There are too many trivial knowledge points in English, and new knowledge points are added every day, which requires students to memorize more and recite more. This is often the biggest headache for students. Only the first day, mainly words. If you can't remember words, let alone listen to sentences. So talk about how to remember words and sentences by yourself.
1, blurt out words according to pronunciation, read aloud, and repeat it many times. Memories are easy to forget, so you should consolidate them every three times.
Reciting a short dialogue and repeating it in your own words will increase your confidence in learning English.
Write the words you can't remember on a small piece of paper and take them out at any time. Long-term persistence will definitely have an effect.
Evaluate students effectively.
Evaluation can help students know themselves, build up self-confidence, and help them reflect and adjust their study. Give oral and written comments on students' performance and improved performance in the process of answering questions, and encourage students to speak boldly. After the students finish the exam, let them reflect on themselves, analyze their achievements and shortcomings, and make clear the direction of their future efforts so as not to repeat the same questions next time. Let students evaluate each other, find out their own advantages and disadvantages, and promote learning.
In one year's teaching work, I deeply realized that teachers need not only excellent professional knowledge, but also love and patience, and more importantly, the ability to manage students. Not everyone is qualified for the sacred and great profession of teachers. People say that teachers are engineers in human history, and I am very happy to be a member of the teaching profession. But now I deeply understand that it is difficult to be a teacher, and it is even more difficult to be a competent teacher. It is even more difficult to be a competent and beautiful teacher. You should be proactive, constantly improve your quality, listen to the lessons of experienced teachers, take the essence, and apply it to your own teaching, constantly reflect on your own shortcomings in teaching, update your ideas, and be willing to grow together with the new curriculum.

As an indispensable and beneficial extension of classroom teaching, homework is a creative process to rebuild and enhance the meaning of the course, and it is also a deepening process of students' classroom teaching. Its design idea should be moderately open, extend to extracurricular activities, connect with life, be close to students' psychological characteristics, enhance practicality and exploration, and urge students to acquire new knowledge independently in their study and practice activities.
The new curriculum advocates the basic idea of "highlighting students' themes and respecting individual differences". It is pointed out that the implementation of the course should be a process for students to build new knowledge, improve their skills, sharpen their will, activate their thinking, show their personality, develop their minds and broaden their horizons under the guidance of teachers. Individualization of learning style is extremely important for students to master knowledge and develop their ability. Subject knowledge can only be gradually transformed through each student's independent study. Individualization of learning style under the new curriculum
After learning pep 4, "what time is it?" After the first unit, ask students to make a poster to publicize and cherish time. Homework A is to make up an English riddle or ballad about reasonable time arrangement. B and other homework are imitation books, describing your day with pictures; Homework such as C explains the illustrations given by the teacher in one sentence. Students' homework is varied and colorful: some are "tick-tock, tick-tock, tick-tock, tick-tock". It's time to have breakfast, have a drink and chat ... ",some are posters in the form of folk songs; Some people say, "It's half past six. It's stimetogetup. Igetup, "wow" Children give full play to their special skills, show their talents to the fullest, and their interest in learning has also been improved.
