Abstract: What is a digital library? Digital library is a service system that borrows digital technology from the Internet, manages library books and provides users with various information. With the increasingly mature development of digital library and the increasingly prominent position of modern distance education, giving full play to the role of digital library in modern distance education conforms to the development trend of digital library. This paper analyzes the characteristics of digital library, discusses the development trend of digital library construction, and finally discusses the role of digital library construction in distance education, so as to promote the further development of digital library and distance education in Chinese universities.

How to better apply the construction of digital library to distance education has become a common concern of all units in distance education.

With the advent of the digital age, there are more and more ways for readers to obtain information, and it is urgent to change the service mode of traditional libraries.
