In the early 1990s, Professor Tian first offered the course of safety economics to college students, and compiled the Concise Course of Safety Economics on 1996, which is the first course of safety economics in domestic universities. Since then, he initiated and edited the first planning textbook of "Safety Economics" in China, Theory and Practice of Modern Safety Economy (China University of Mining and Technology Press, mimeographed edition in 2003, official edition in early 2004), and wrote a series of safety science works such as Analysis and Decision of Enterprise Safety Economy, Safety Economics and Safety Management. The lecture entitled "Safety Economics" was rated as a provincial-level excellent course, which was well received by teachers and students at home and abroad. He has written and published more than 0 books 10, such as Enterprise Safety Economic Analysis and Decision, Safety Engineering, Safety Economics, Required Reading for Coal Mine Emergency Rescue, Mine Safety System Engineering and Ventilation Safety. , and won many awards such as the second prize of the National Excellent Textbook of Colleges and Universities of the Ministry of Education and the first prize of the Excellent Textbook of the National Coal Higher Education Association. Professor Tian presided over a number of scientific research projects funded by national and provincial natural science funds, and won the first prize and the third prize of scientific and technological progress in Shaanxi Province. Second prize of provincial teaching achievement, second prize of national teaching achievement and many other awards. He has been rated as an excellent party member, an outstanding young intellectual, a top-notch professional and technical talent, diligent and honest.
Professor Tian studied under Professor Fan Mingxun, a famous coal mine ventilation safety expert in China. His graduation practice spent half a year in Chaili Coal Mine of Zaozhuang Mining Bureau. In Chaili Coal Mine, I completed my graduation thesis in combination with the national coal mine fire prevention and extinguishing project. After graduation, I studied under Professor He Dunliang, Liu, Li Xindong and Chang Xintan, and engaged in the teaching and research of ventilation safety. He was elected as the director of the teaching and research section at a young age in the early 1990s. 1992, together with Professor Xu, an expert in coal mine fire fighting, was hired as a member of the fire prevention and control professional committee of China Coal Labor Protection Association. He worked hard and devoted himself to research. He went deep into the fire prevention and extinguishing site of the first fully mechanized top-coal caving face in 63 10 island of Nantun Coal Mine of Yankuang Group for several days, and carried out observation and prevention research on spontaneous combustion fire in coal seam under the high temperature of more than 50 degrees and high concentration of carbon monoxide toxic gas. He often works underground for more than ten hours, and with his unremitting efforts and realistic and rigorous style, he ensures the success of the mining face under dangerous conditions. On this basis, his research group won the first prize of scientific and technological progress in Shaanxi Province and the second prize of national scientific and technological progress.
Professor Tian has actually participated in and guided the underground fire prevention and extinguishing work for many times. In 2006-2007, spontaneous combustion occurred in two fully mechanized caving faces of Shaanxi Qinyuan Coal Industry Group Co., Ltd. Because coal mine belongs to thick flammable coal seam with large dip angle, it is very difficult to prevent and extinguish fire. The coal mine's self-rescue and several times of inviting foreign aid failed to effectively extinguish the fire, which led to the fully mechanized top-coal caving equipment being closed in the fire area, and more than 50 million fully mechanized top-coal caving equipment were in jeopardy! After being invited, Professor Tian immediately devoted himself to the formulation of fire prevention and extinguishing scheme, and worked around the clock to study the emergency control of spontaneous combustion, fire extinguishing technology and comprehensive fire prevention and extinguishing technology in unsealed fire area under the condition of non-stop mining line and coal caving isolation belt. Finally, the fire zone of N 10 1 fully mechanized top-coal caving face was successfully unsealed, the fully mechanized top-coal caving equipment was rescued, and the mining line of S20 1 working face was controlled. In many years of coal mine safety research and service practice, Professor Tian and his research group often stayed in the coal mine for dozens of days, and even failed to return to their hometown to reunite with their families during the New Year.
"Do research can't be behind closed doors. We must serve the society, serve the enterprise, serve the needs of the society and learn from others. " This is what Professor Tian often warns students in the academic exchange activities within the research group. He often takes students to the grassroots level for research and encourages graduate students to participate in international high-level academic exchanges. Since 1996, he has made academic reports at many academic conferences at home and abroad, such as Beijing International Conference on Safety Science and Technology. From 2005 to 2065438+February, he was hired as a safety training expert in state administration of work safety for many years, and was invited to state administration of work safety Training Center, Shaanxi Coal Supervision Bureau, Shaanxi Coal Supervision Bureau, Yankuang Group, Huabei Oilfield, Lu Hua Group, SDIC Group, Fourth Aerospace Institute, Changqing Oilfield, Shengli Oilfield, xi Railway Bureau, Jixi University and other enterprises and institutions for safety lectures and consultation exchanges. In Beijing in 2006, I was invited to be a guest in the interview room of Safety Culture Network, and had an online exchange with netizens all over the country on the relationship between "three types of hazards" and accidents. In 2004, in cooperation with China Academy of Sciences, an international symposium on geometric invariants and their engineering applications was successfully held in Xi 'an. In 2009, after only three months of intense preparation, the "2009 Sino-Japanese Symposium on Safety Management Theory and Practice" was successfully held with Kanto University and the Institute of Labor Science of the Nippon Foundation. This seminar is pragmatic and compact. More than 100 experts and scholars engaged in safety management from all over the country gathered to share the first "symposium" in the field of safety management. The papers published after the meeting were included in the full edition of ISTP magazine and were well received by the delegates.
He realized from the combination of safety theory and practice that comprehensive management and risk pre-control must be carried out to prevent accidents and improve the safety level of coal mines, which requires us to study and design safety systems and risk pre-control measures not only from the aspects of engineering technology and law, but also from the aspects of economic leverage, organization management and safety culture. At the same time, he pointed out that both for humanitarian reasons and to reduce accidents, compensation for accident victims and punishment for those who violate the rules and refuse to change their responsibilities should be reasonably increased.
As early as the 1990s, when Professor Tian participated in the investigation of coal mine accidents, he put forward according to the principle of safety economics: "The accident compensation for the death of a miner in a coal mine is only 1 10,000 yuan, which should be raised to about 200,000 yuan per person." Later, with the joint efforts of other scholars, he advocated that the amount of compensation for casualties in coal mines in China increased significantly, and people's awe and respect for life increased significantly.
"If you don't want everything (such as accidents) to happen, try to increase its cost; If you want it to happen, try to reduce its cost. " This is what Professor Tian Shuicheng often says in safety teaching and lectures. Professor Tian is very concerned about the safety work of mining enterprises. Every year, he takes advantage of his vacation to visit the mine. He often encourages mines: "Enterprises with safety investment in place have high employee loyalty, high morale and high production efficiency", and advocates encouraging enterprises to pay attention to safety investment and improve the level of safety production.
He has published the following articles: Economic Analysis of Safety, Discussion on Safety Management of Coal Enterprises Based on Modern Enterprise Theory, Analysis of Stakeholders in Safety Economy of Coal Enterprises, Safety Input and Output of Coal Enterprises, Construction of Safety Culture of Coal Enterprises, Psychological Analysis of Miners' Crisis after Mine Accidents and Suggestions for Implementing Intervention, and Research on the Causes of Frequent Coal Accidents Based on the Theory of Three Dangerous Sources. How to prevent accidents from economic, organizational and management perspectives? And put forward the third kind of hazard theory; Coal mines should attach importance to the concept of "learning from accidents".
In the early 1990s, his paper "Understanding the Natural Environment Characteristics of Stope Coal from the Perspective of System Engineering", as the only key paper in colleges and universities, was exchanged and distributed to everyone attending the on-site fire prevention meeting held by Tongchuan Mining Bureau of Shaanxi Coal Management Bureau. The viewpoint of the paper defines the direction of spontaneous combustion prevention and control, and effectively guides and improves the level of spontaneous combustion prevention and control in Shaanxi coal mine system.
While working hard, Professor Tian Shuicheng continues to study and further his studies tirelessly. He often arrives at the office early regardless of holidays and is the last to leave the office. 1994 obtained a master's degree in engineering from Xi 'an Institute of Mining and Technology, and a doctor's degree in engineering from the State Key Laboratory of Explosion and Safety Science of Beijing Institute of Technology in 2002. 200 1 professor Tian put forward the theory of "three types of hazards" in his doctoral thesis, which is different from the traditional two types of hazards and is now more and more accepted by peers, scholars and enterprises. His concept of "three hands" accident prevention has effectively promoted the prevention and treatment of human accidents in coal mines in China.
Dr. Chen Quan, the boss of Beijing New Century Certification Company, once said that the third kind of hazards proposed by Professor Tian pointed out the significance and direction of enterprises to carry out safety management system certification, that is, to overcome the third kind of hazards proposed by Professor Tian. In 2008, Professor Tian Shuicheng was invited to visit Europe, and participated in the defense meeting of utrecht university's doctoral thesis as a judge. He studied and inspected advanced foreign concepts and technologies, and broadened his academic horizons. The national natural science foundation project "Study on the mechanism of coal mine dangerous omen events and joint intervention countermeasures" undertaken by Professor Tian's team belongs to the frontier project in the field of coal mine safety science, and is the crystallization of tian teacher's safety management theory and the team's years of practical research. With the unremitting efforts of Professor Tian and his team, the direction of safety management and safety system engineering, the national key discipline of safety science and engineering in Xi 'an University of Science and Technology, has not only achieved zero breakthrough, but also built an influential safety management research institute in China. The experimental platform for studying human factors of mine disasters in western China laid a foundation for building the largest safety management research and psychological assistance center for miners in western China.
"While learning to be a scholar, we should also learn to be a real person". This is Professor Tian's consistent request for himself and his students. He often said that if the work is done well, the cause will be in place. There is a very eye-catching calligraphy work hanging in his office, which reads "self-improvement, kindness and morality", which is exactly what he advocates every team member to do hard. He asked every member of the team to have a sense of social responsibility, be honest and be diligent. In 2003-2004, the school was evaluated by the Ministry of Education, and an evaluation material writing group was established. Professor Tian is responsible for writing the evaluation report of special projects. On the basis of repeated investigations and interviews, he and his team members put forward the school spirit of "inspiring and enterprising, striving for self-improvement", which was later revised by school leaders and old professors as "inspiring and striving for self-improvement" and has been engraved on the boulder in front of the school central square ever since.
He cares about students in life, buys accident insurance for each student for many years, and organizes classmates to have an outing or dinner on holidays to make students feel the warmth of home.
Professor Tian is leading his safety management team, continuing towards the higher goal of building a western safety management and miners' rescue center, and working hard for the professional construction of safety science and engineering, a national key discipline.
