A person's interest range is various, but for students, the most important thing is learning interest, in addition to sports, entertainment, art and other aspects of interest. Due to the long-term "mindset", vocational school students are considered as "vulnerable groups" among students, and the concern of families, schools and society for this group is not enough. This paper intends to make a preliminary discussion on the interest of vocational middle school students.
First, the characteristics of vocational school students' hobbies
Due to the particularity of students, vocational school students have the following characteristics:
1, lack of interest in learning. Due to the lack of a solid learning foundation in primary and junior high schools and the pressure of further studies, many students' learning is superficial and their interest in learning is worrying.
2, love to follow the fashion trend, lack of opinion. Vocational school students are not mature physically or psychologically, so their interests are easily influenced by "fashion". Students in the 1990s were keen on games, and now many vocational school students are addicted to Internet cafes. If something new happens in society, vocational school students will soon become interested.
3, a wide range of hobbies, but not profound. Although students in vocational schools are not interested in learning, they still have a wide range of hobbies. Many students are particularly interested in sports, entertainment, art and games. However, their hobby is not perseverance, but sightseeing. Although such interest can also promote activities, it is often difficult to achieve significant results.
4. Interest has strong plasticity. Although the interests of vocational school students are not satisfactory. However, a person's interest can be cultivated or transferred in a planned and purposeful way with the expansion of subject knowledge, psychological development and environmental changes. With the diversification of subjects offered in vocational middle schools, the plasticity of students' hobbies in vocational middle schools is still very strong.
Second, the cultivation of vocational school students' hobbies
Based on the meaning of interest and the interest characteristics of vocational school students at present, it is urgent to cultivate students' good interest quality. Good hobbies are not created out of thin air, so we must pay attention to cultivating them. In the long-term work practice, I think we can start from the following aspects:
1, strengthen the cultivation of learning interest. Among the broad interests, it is absolutely necessary to form a dominant central interest, because this is required by successful practical activities. Therefore, for vocational school students, it is necessary to form a wide range of interests centered on learning interests.
(1) Enhance learning confidence. Influenced by traditional concept evaluation, vocational school students tend to have inferiority complex, doubt their learning ability, always feel that they are not learning materials, lack self-confidence, and some even classify themselves as useless, so they are not interested in learning. To cultivate students' interest in learning, we must first establish the learning confidence of vocational school students and let them know that everyone has learning potential to tap. Nothing in the world is difficult for one who sets his mind to it. Elbow oil has the best polishing effect. Good learning confidence is the foundation.
(2) Develop the habit of thinking. Vocational school students are often afraid of thinking, simple and mechanical, and lack sufficient thinking. Therefore, students should form the habit of studying hard and thinking more, asking more questions and thinking more. Each class can set up a column in the "publicity column" of the classroom, and each student can ask at least one question every week, which can involve all aspects. This encourages every student to use their brains and be diligent in thinking.
⑶ Cultivate interest in practical activities. Students in vocational schools can't learn the same things as ordinary schools, especially specialized courses. Many schools often use the method that teachers teach textbooks first and then students practice in the laboratory, but this teaching method has little effect. Therefore, the study in vocational middle schools can enable students to enter relevant units to engage in internships, so that students can have more perceptual knowledge, get in touch with objective things and phenomena many times in practical activities, and understand their nature, characteristics, laws and social significance.
Righteousness can stimulate people's emotions, and then gradually produce a tendency to understand things or activities, so interest is cultivated. For another example, instead of focusing on theory, we can carry out more social practice activities, such as social investigation and mock trial, to stimulate students' interest in the subject in practice.
2. Cultivate students according to their different interests.
(1) For students whose hobbies follow the fashion trend and are easy to stimulate but difficult to keep stable, they can gradually ask to stick to an activity for a long time and not be tempted by other more interesting activities to stabilize their interests.
(2) Students who have a wide range of interests but are difficult to concentrate, want to learn everything and are interested in everything, that is, students who lack a central interest can be guided to develop in the direction of a central interest according to their characteristics, instead of blooming everywhere. There is a student in my class who has many interests. So, I asked him to make a plan and focus on one interest every semester, so that after several semesters, his interest developed reasonably.
In short, the characteristics of vocational middle school students' hobbies require us to "open a lock with a key", "suit the remedy to the case" and cultivate it reasonably. I believe that our efforts will definitely achieve great results.
