Practical writing and argumentative writing are two different writing types with different purposes, formats and language styles. Therefore, it is not appropriate to write practical essays as argumentative essays.

The purpose of practical writing is to convey information to readers and help or solve problems, while the purpose of argumentative writing is to demonstrate a certain viewpoint or proposition, which needs the support of logic and evidence.
