In Word, the default is a section, and the page numbers of each section are continuous. If you want to set the first page of a document as the cover page without displaying the page number, the second to fifth pages will display Ⅰ, Ⅱ, Ⅲ and Ⅳ, and the sixth page will display 1, 2, 3 ... Conversely, you must insert a section break to divide the document into several sections, so that you can set the page number separately.

Operating steps:

1. Place the cursor at the top of page 2 and click Page Layout → Separator → section break → Next Section, as shown;

2. Double-click the mouse at the footer of the second page to enter the footer editing state;

3. click the header and footer-> link to the previous header button to disconnect from the previous section;

4. click on the header and footer tool design-> page number-> page number format;

5. The page number format dialog box pops up, and the Roman numeral format is selected at the number format; Select the starting page number at the page number, and enter1in the input box;

6. click on the header and footer tool design-> page number-> ordinary No.2 at the bottom of the page, as shown in the figure.

7. 1. Put the cursor at the beginning of page 6 and repeat the above steps. Just set the numbering format in step 5 to Arabic numerals, as shown in the figure.
