Literature information retrieval course; Chinese medicine colleges; Traditional Chinese medicine education
It has been 25 years since 1985, the first batch of Chinese medicine colleges and universities set up the course of Chinese medicine literature information retrieval. At present, retrieval courses have been set up in Chinese medicine hospitals and schools all over the country, with corresponding unified textbooks and self-compiled textbooks, teachers and teaching staff, and many colleges and universities have also set up retrieval teaching and research departments. Through the study of this course, the students' information awareness in colleges and universities of traditional Chinese medicine has been enhanced, and the majority of students have generally mastered the most basic literature retrieval methods and skills, laying a foundation for future clinical and scientific research work.
1 the development of medical literature retrieval course as early as 1970s, Peking University and others had officially opened the course of scientific and technological literature retrieval, which opened the prelude of literature retrieval teaching in China. The early medical literature retrieval course was only carried out in the form of elective courses or lectures in a few colleges and universities, but after 1984, it developed rapidly with the joint efforts of many parties. First of all, the Ministry of Education issued two administrative documents in 1984 and 1985 respectively, which greatly promoted the development of literature retrieval course in colleges and universities. Secondly, around 1985, the Ministry of Health set up library and information departments in four medical universities. Medical literature retrieval course has become the professional backbone and even the core course of this kind of specialty, and has received unprecedented attention. Finally, with the development of computer technology and network communication technology, literature retrieval teaching has developed by leaps and bounds. Medical literature retrieval course is a tool course. First, the purpose of literature retrieval is to serve other professions and provide medical information for scientific research, teaching or clinic through literature retrieval. Second, the main content of the course is to learn to use literature retrieval reference books to obtain the required literature information. Early literature retrieval was manual retrieval, with printed reference books as the retrieval objects, such as American medical index and Dutch medical abstracts. Although the arrangement structure is rigorous, it is still inconvenient to use.
1 985, the textbook Science and Technology Literature Retrieval edited by Lai thinks that computer retrieval has become a reality in China, and some chapters are interspersed with a small amount of computer retrieval content, but the content of this textbook is mainly retrieval theory, and the introduction of retrieval tools is mainly foreign reference books. With the improvement of social informatization, especially with the development of communication technology and the popularization of network, manual retrieval has gradually changed to computer retrieval. The retrieval object has changed from a single publication to various forms of network information, and people have gradually accepted and recognized the concept of information retrieval.
2. The current situation of the concepts of medical literature retrieval and medical information retrieval. Literature analysis of medical literature database By searching China Biomedical Literature Database (CBM), the usage frequency of several commonly used concepts (literature retrieval, information retrieval, information literacy or information literacy) is compared. See table 1 for the data. As can be seen from the table 1, the concept of "information retrieval" has been used in medical scientific and technological documents since 1995, and the number of documents using the concept of "document retrieval" is obviously higher than that using other concepts. It is not excluded that there are more than two concepts in the same document in the data. The literature using the concepts of "literature retrieval" and "information retrieval" is basically increasing year by year.
The number of documents in Information Retrieval changes obviously in stages (taking consecutive years with similar number of documents as one stage), which can be roughly divided into four stages: 1 995- 1 998, with an average of 2.5 articles per year; 1.999—2000, with an average of 1.4 articles; From 200 1 to 2004, the average number of articles was 37; From 2005 to 20 12, the average number of articles was 57. Although the number of documents using the concept of "document retrieval" is also increasing, the changing trend is not obvious. Compared with the above four stages, the average number of documents using the concept of "document retrieval" is 46, 76, 106.3 and 223 respectively. Based on the literature analysis of Wanfang Medical Network 1998 to 20 1 2, it is found that the number of literatures using the concept of "literature retrieval" (3,453 articles) is significantly higher than that using the concept of "information retrieval" (907 articles) (the deadline is 201212/.
2.2 Analysis of Course Name Regarding the course name, Zhang Yanyan used "literature retrieval course", "information retrieval course" and "literature information retrieval course" as search terms in the database of China Journal Network of 20 1 O, and got 1580, 360 and 660 respectively. Taking "literature retrieval course" and "information retrieval course" as the search terms in the journal database of Wanfang Medical Network (2000-20 12), 29 1 and 62 pieces of data were obtained respectively. In CBM (data from 2000 to 20 12), taking "literature retrieval course" and "information retrieval course" as search terms, 282 and 58 pieces of data were obtained respectively. It can be seen that the recognition of "literature retrieval" in the field of education is still higher than that of "information retrieval". 2.3 Analysis of the names of textbooks or works As for the names of textbooks or works, the number of types of information retrieval in the currently published retrieval textbooks has far exceeded that of literature retrieval U 1. By searching the Chinese Library of Nanjing Library (Jiangsu Library), this paper compares the frequency of using "literature retrieval", "information retrieval", "literature information retrieval" and "information literacy", and finds that although literature retrieval is the title (2 13) more than information retrieval (204). However, in the 2 1 3 document retrieval book, 1 14 was published before 1993, including the introduction of some translated documents and retrieval tools. 1993—20 12 for information retrieval.
