Who discovered the SARS virus?
No one found it. The following is the discovery process of SARS:

At the end of 2002, there were many unexplained and life-threatening cases of respiratory diseases in China and Guangdong. Subsequently, similar cases were reported in Vietnam, Canada and Hong Kong. The World Health Organization named this disease "Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome (SARS)". Subsequently, laboratories around the world devoted themselves to discovering the pathogen of this disease. On March 22nd, 2003, the University of Hong Kong first announced the isolation of an unknown coronavirus. Subsequently, several laboratories published research papers on this pathogen in internationally renowned medical journals such as NJEM and Lancet. On April 2, 2003, the Genome Science Center of BC Cancer Institute completed the whole genome sequencing of the virus. On April 16, 2003, on the basis of the above research results, WHO officially announced a previously unknown coronavirus, which is the pathogen of severe acute respiratory syndrome (SARS) and named it SARS-CoV.
