My opinion on the new culture movement .. 100 words or more.
As we all know, the historical significance of the New Culture Movement is highly praised in our history books! However, Mr. Marx told us that everything has two sides! I want to discuss this topic with you today.

First of all, let's understand the background of the times. As we know, the social background of that year was the vigorous "western learning spreading to the east" in modern times, from which we gradually saw the advancement of the western world, but from the beginning, we advocated "taking western learning as the body and using it", and learning from the west was only to strengthen our own strength with western knowledge. However, intellectuals studying abroad gradually see that the social system is the greatest strength. So in modern times, how China learned from the West became the only hope for everyone to save the country and the people. So there was a new cultural movement that completely abandoned middle school and advocated western learning. However, the author believes that the best development model is "Chinese style and western style", and the new culture movement is a radical ideological movement without much ideological consideration. The reason for this is the following:

First, throw away China's traditional philosophy, abandon the classical Chinese with strong expressive ability, and use the plain and powerless vernacular. Today, when we look at the works of our predecessors, we are all impressed by their profound literary realm. Their writing is clear as water and bright as the moon. On the other hand, modern vernacular literature is simple and vulgar in expression. Only from this point can we say that the New Culture Movement is a literary disaster. Secondly, we oppose Confucianism represented by Confucius and regard it as the ethical code of cannibalism. Admittedly, ethical codes are unreasonable, but should some of them be completely abolished? When this society does not know the traditional etiquette system of loyalty to the country, filial piety to parents, charity to friends, respect for teachers and love for the young, China, once a state of etiquette, has now become a second-rate country with corrupt social atmosphere.

Second, the ideological emancipation of the whole people cannot be formed. At best, the New Culture Movement was an ideological debate among advanced intellectuals in China at that time, that is, intellectuals from different factions wrote papers in New Youth and attacked each other. But at that time, the quality of China citizens was generally not high, and few people could read, let alone accept the new ideas of democratic science. Therefore, the author believes that the number of people involved in this movement was quite small at that time, so this ideological movement was thoughtless, radical and one-sided.
