Many students are struggling with typesetting when writing their papers. Generally, the requirements for proofreading and layout of each compound are similar. Here, Ta Jianjun will introduce the matters needing attention in paper typesetting:

Automatically generate directory

Because I use WPS software, not word. The main reason is that WPS is small and free.

Taking WPS as an example, let's talk about the problem of automatic table of contents generation for papers.

(1) Open the paper (docx format) with WPS software, and then show it as shown.

(2) Select the title "Introduction to Chapter 1", right-click the paragraph-outline level, and select "1 level".

(3) Similarly, select the title "1. 1 overview", right-click the paragraph-outline level, and select "Level 2".

(4) Similarly, select the title "1. 1 concept", right-click the paragraph-outline level and select "Level 3".

(5) The content of the paper is generally at most three-level titles, and of course, by analogy, it can also be added later.

(6) Select Insert-Blank Page, and the table of contents will be placed here.

(7) Select the View tab and select Insert-Directory. As shown in the figure

The following figure shows the automatically generated directory.

(8) If the content (length) or title content of the article is modified, the table of contents must be regenerated. Select all directories, and click the right mouse button-Update Domain Automatic Update.

(9) According to the format and spacing of the title, it can be adjusted by itself.
