How to mark the references in the paper?
There are many ways to mark references in papers. The following is a common method:

First of all, open the word document to be referenced with tags, and click the place where tags need to be added with the mouse.

Then click the citation tab, and click the footnotes and endnotes.

Footnotes and endnotes settings box will pop up. Check the endnotes, check the square bracket style of the format, apply the changed settings to the whole document, and then click Insert.

When you click Insert, a superscript "[1]" will be inserted here, which is where the first reference is entered.

Next, just click Insert Endnote under the Citation tab to add other references.

If you want to delete the horizontal line in front of the reference, just click the reference tab above, and then click the footnote/endnote separator.

For example, works, periodical papers, conference papers, dissertations, patent documents and electronic documents all have their own specific labeling formats. When labeling, you need to label according to the corresponding format requirements.
