How to treat otopathy by Chinese medicine?
1. Discriminatory earache

(1) At the beginning of earache, the pain is mild, the ear is blocked, the eardrum is red, and the hearing loss is mostly wind-heat, and the pathogen is still on the surface.

(2) Those who suffer from ear diseases for a long time have slight pain, discomfort or swelling in their ears, or tinnitus and hard of hearing, and have no history of pus. Most of them are due to liver and kidney deficiency or spleen weakness, and pathogens remain in their ear holes. If the earache is mild, there are pus, perforation of eardrum and hearing loss, which are mostly spleen-qi deficiency and dampness.

⑶ Deep ear pain is severe, manifested as jumping pain or drilling pain, even affecting the head and face of the affected side, with fever, which is mostly caused by excessive liver and gallbladder and pus caused by damp heat.

(4) Earache aggravates, ear pus suddenly increases or decreases, expert papers, severe headache, intense fever, vomiting, and even delirium, which is a serious syndrome of fire poisoning attacking pericardium.

5] Earache, especially when pulling the ear shell or pressing the tragus, is mostly caused by hot evil, and the ear canal is swollen into pus.

The cerumen gland is located in the outer segment of the external auditory canal, on the cartilage skin of the external auditory canal. Cerumen secreted by cerumen gland is a viscous liquid, which resembles yellow waxy crumbs after drying. Some cerumen is thin and oily, commonly known as' oil ear'. The latter is more common in infants, especially obese children. It falls off on its own with the activity of the mandibular joint. " ..... A Complete Interpretation of Children's Earwax

Step 2 identify earwax

(1) At first diagnosis, the ear was thick and yellow, with pus, mostly due to liver and gallbladder heat and burning muscle membrane. Yellow and large, mostly damp-heat fumigation. Purulent blood, mostly due to liver meridian fire, blood injury.

⑵ After a long illness, the pus is thin and large, or those who hold the thread like glue are mostly due to spleen deficiency and dampness. If the pus is thin and the amount is not much, it is mostly kidney deficiency and fire deficiency and inflammation.

(3) There is bean curd residue in the pus, which smells bad. Most of them are kidney deficiency, damp-heat accumulation, steaming and burning of muscle membrane and bone erosion, which belong to the syndrome of insufficient positive energy and excess.

3. Distinguish tinnitus from deafness

(1) Tinnitus attack, loud voice, hearing loss, mostly caused by fire in the liver and gallbladder, or phlegm-fire stagnation disturbing the orifices.

(2) Tinnitus gradually develops, the voice becomes thinner, and the hearing gradually declines, which is mostly caused by yin deficiency of liver and kidney, inflammation of fire deficiency, or loss of qi and blood, and dystrophy of the back of the ear.

(3) Tinnitus, like cicada, mostly belongs to deficiency of liver and kidney, deficiency of heart and kidney, and deficiency of qi and blood; Tinnitus, such as tidal sound and wind, mostly belongs to the syndrome of excess heat in the liver and gallbladder and pathogenic factors blocking the ears.

(4) Sudden deafness is mostly caused by wind, heat and humidity, or by earwax and foreign bodies; Gradually deafness is mainly caused by deficiency of liver, kidney, spleen and other viscera.

(5) The old people are hard of hearing and have no history of purulent secretion. Most of them are caused by deficiency of liver and kidney, deficiency of qi and blood, and industry trends, which cannot be fulfilled.

(6) For tinnitus and deafness caused by pus in the ear, the syndrome differentiation of pus is the main method.
