1. Learn to write headlines

Good titles should be concise and to the point, and the style of full-text titles should be consistent, which is also an opportunity to train generalization ability.

2. Theoretical framework of the thesis.

There must be a theoretical framework when expounding the arguments of the thesis, especially the master's thesis, not just a list of 1234. The theoretical level of the thesis is often highlighted from here, and the difference between theory and viewpoint lies in its systematicness. The theoretical framework is like an outline. If you look at the outline, the paper becomes a whole, otherwise you will be suspected of slapping your head, and others will question the coverage and value of the conclusion.

3. The structure of graduation thesis

Students often don't know how to set up their own graduation thesis structure, so they will go to their brothers and sisters for observation. The method is right, but if they "see people badly", it won't help them much.

Suggestion: Search for doctoral dissertations of foreign universities while searching for related jobs. Considering their thesis organization, generally speaking, the thesis writing in foreign universities is much more standardized than that in China.

4. Abstract writing

When consulting several students' academic papers, it is often found that students can't write abstracts, which may be because they don't pay attention to abstract writing.

It is very important for papers: it determines whether editors and reviewers will adopt your papers and whether readers will read your papers.

On the other hand, the abstract also reflects your academic ability-briefly introduce your thoughts, opinions and achievements to others. Explain that you know what you are doing, your writing purpose, and your value recognition of what you are doing. If your abstract can't be a good advertisement for your paper, you don't even know why you wrote this article.

When I was in primary and secondary schools, I hated that teachers often asked me to write paragraphs with general ideas and central ideas. Now that I think about it, this is actually training our reading ability-what you have read is also training our generalization ability-what have you read? Translated into the abstract of the paper is-what did I write in this article? This kind of writing skill really comes down in one continuous line. Through careful experience and constant practice, it is not difficult to write an abstract that people can understand and read.

5. Final review of documents

After discussion with the tutor and several revisions, before going to press, you must read the paper carefully and correct all the sentences that are not fluent and misspelled, otherwise carelessness will leave a bad impression on the reviewers.

In addition, finally check the table of contents: are the chapter titles concise and to the point, and are the sentence patterns symmetrical and consistent?

6. The paper was written after discussion.

When middle school students are learning to write argumentative essays, the teacher has repeatedly stressed the need for arguments and arguments. Reading students' papers, I find that people often pay little attention to putting forward arguments, collecting arguments, demonstrating, or expressing some feelings and guesses emotionally, or simply stating what I did, why I did it, to what extent I did it, and where I went. I often lack strong arguments and explanations, and I failed to do so.

7. Pay attention to conclusion writing

Students often don't pay much attention to the writing of the final conclusion in their papers, perhaps because the papers are unbearable at the end, or because I don't want to do this kind of research in the future anyway, so I ended up hastily. I don't know if writing a thesis conclusion is a good opportunity to exercise people: the ability to summarize and the keen judgment.

The first part of the conclusion is an overview of your work, which actually shows your understanding of the core content and value of your work. If you can't see the meaning of your work and can't tell the content of your work clearly, you don't have to write such a paper to avoid endangering the ecological environment.

The second part of the conclusion is the analysis of the lack of research, and the reflection on the research process, methods and results is the basis for your further development. Every time you write a paper, you should consciously train yourself to reflect, and this quality will be transferred to other things you do, which will benefit you for life.

The third part of the conclusion is suggestions for the next step of research, which reflects your grasp of the development trend of research in this field, cultivates your ability to judge the future trend consciously, and has an impact on your career development and the formation of leadership. It goes without saying.

8. How to prepare the defense

The thesis defense mainly explains what the thesis research has done, so the defense statement is mainly my own work. It is suggested that the following ideas be adopted to prepare the defense report:

1) Problems to be studied and the necessity of research (summarize the research background in one sentence)

2) Why should I study this problem like this?

3) my research conclusions and supporting arguments of each research (at this time, some documents can also be used as evidence)

In short, be clear about your research logic. It is taboo to elaborate.

1) Spend a lot of time talking about Pangu.

2) Talk too much about the status quo that everyone knows.

3) Like teaching, he excessively shows his erudition and extensive reading.

The defense is not an abbreviated version of the paper. The thesis needs to explain the context, and the defense only needs to explain what I did, why I did it, and to what extent.

9. How to deal with defense

The members of the defense Committee are all experts, but they are not necessarily proficient in your research. Maybe some of them don't know much about your research field. But they can become experts because they can find loopholes in unfamiliar fields and unfamiliar problems. This is a kind of academic acumen, which is supported by thinking logic. So in the defense, if you want the defense committee to ask fewer questions, the most important thing is that your explanation should be logical and self-evident. The answers to all questions should be based on your research (which can be regarded as the light from the center of the circle). You can even answer: this question is not in my current research, maybe I can add it later. Don't be led by the nose by the defense Committee members, talk nonsense casually and fall into the self-contradictory trap.

If you find that someone in the defense Committee is not stumped, you can simply tell him: I haven't studied it, and I am willing to listen to your advice and end the torture as soon as possible.
