WOSCI Voss Editor: What is the status of SCI papers after submission?
1. Submit to the log

After the submission is completed, the display status is Submitted to Journal, which is naturally formed and does not need to be processed.

2. With editor

When submitting a manuscript, you don't need to choose an editor, so you go to the editor-in-chief first, and then the editor-in-chief is assigned to other editors. There will be two other states:

(1) Edit Assignment Edit Task.

The editor refuses the invitation, which will make the editor-in-chief have to redistribute the contributed articles to other editors.

3. Invited reviewers

The editor has taken over and invited commentators. Sometimes this process will last for a long time. If the reason is that the editor has not found a suitable reviewer, then the contributor can recommend the reviewer to the editor.

4. Under inspection

The reviewer's comments have been uploaded, indicating that the reviewer has been reviewed and is reviewing. This should be a long wait (journals usually limit reviewers' review time, usually about one month). Of course, the previous steps may be slow, depending on the editing process. If the invited reviewers don't want to review, they will refuse and the editor will invite other reviewers again.

5. The required review has been completed.

After reviewing the manuscript, waiting for editing, this process is as short as a few days, and the length is uncertain. It's been nearly a month since an article appeared in the completed state of compulsory trial, and there is still no news.

6. In the decision-making process

At this point, the result is coming out soon, and the editor begins to consider whether to modify it directly or reject it. Of course, it is also possible to accept it directly, but it is unlikely.

7. Minor revision/major revision

Minor repairs/major repairs can be celebrated a little at this time, because modification is possible. I don't need to say more about how to change it. Modesty is essential (because it will be sent to the reviewers after revision, so be sure to answer every question of each reviewer carefully, be modest, let the reviewers feel that every question he asks is standard, and then answer his questions one by one. Modify what can be modified, and give reasons, all listed. Which paragraph of the article is which paragraph? Note: Sometimes, the reviewer will say in the revision opinion that I hope you will read some documents carefully. At this time, you should pay attention. Some articles may be published by the reviewers themselves, so you'd better quote them in your revised draft. There are countless examples of rejection after revision.

8. Revisions submitted to the log

Modify and resubmit for editing.

9. acceptable

If you don't want to try again, it's just a minor modification. This status will be displayed immediately after editing, but if you want to try again, some of the above statuses will appear. One step will be faster, but there are also slow ones. Read magazines.

10. Rejected

I believe that everyone will be depressed when they encounter rejection. But don't be too discouraged. After reading the comments patiently, the chief judge will give useful suggestions. I believe you will gain something after reading it.
