East China University of Political Science and Law is neither 2 1 1 nor 985. East China University of Political Science and Law, called Huazheng for short, is located in Shanghai. It is the first batch of higher political and legal institutions established in New China, which was co-founded by the Ministry of Education and Shanghai. It is a multi-disciplinary university, mainly focusing on law, but also including economics, management, literature and engineering.
The school was originally named East China University of Political Science and Law. 1In June, 952, the law departments, political departments and social departments of 9 universities including St. John's University, Fudan University, Nanjing University, Soochow University, Xiamen University, Hujiang University, Anhui University, Shanghai College and Aurora University were merged and established in the former site of St. John's University.
