In February 2004, Russia held a grand "Security -2004" headquarters strategic exercise. According to the plan, the "New Moscoff" and the "Karelia" nuclear submarines should have launched the "PCM-54" ballistic missile on February 17 and 18, respectively, but unexpectedly arrived. The reason is that the submarine-launched missile system of "New Moscoff" broke down, which led to the automatic termination of the launch. One day later, although the Karelia launch was completed, the missile had to crash as the final performance because it deviated from the set orbit and the self-destruction system started after 98 seconds of flight. Afterwards, the Russian Ministry of Defense launched a rigorous investigation and found that the failure of the launch was mainly due to a small calculation detail error in the control system.
How can a seemingly insignificant detail error have such destructive power that it can ruin an important launch mission of a country? In fact, the reason is very simple. No matter how big and complicated things are, they are all based on details and composed of tiny factors. Details witness quality, and details determine success or failure. Even a tiny mistake or negligence of one ten thousandth may lead to a huge crisis and turn into a 100% failure. Disasters are often accumulated in small amounts!
Historical records show that at the end of the Tang Dynasty, a man named Feng Dao was ordered to send an envoy to Zhongshan. When he passed a dangerous place, he was afraid that his horse would trip and fall into the mountain stream. He was always careful not to let go of the reins, so he saved the day. However, when he arrived in Ma Pingchuan, he let his guard down and let the horse get away. He fell off his horse and was injured. From this, he realized a truth, "disasters often add up."
Now some crises in our enterprise are also caused by the problem of not paying attention to details at ordinary times. In other words, our crisis is also due to the accumulation of small things. As we all know, Zhu San Group, which once stood out from the crowd in health care industry, was only trying to win the case of Changde incident in anger. As a result, the enterprise lost a lot because of small, and it was devastated. Its bankruptcy is undoubtedly one of the best examples of disaster caused by details errors:
Chen Boshun, a 78-year-old man from Changde City, Hunan Province, used to be a consumer of Zhu San Oral Liquid. 1In September, 1996, Chen Boshun's family decided that he died after drinking three kinds of oral liquids, and filed a lawsuit with the court in February of the same year. After a year's investigation, the Hunan Higher People's Court ruled that Zhu San Company won the case. In this year, the news that "three kinds of oral liquids killed one person" was reported by more than 20 media, which had a great negative impact on the society, caused many people to question the three kinds of oral liquids, and even produced rejection psychology. Therefore, although the three companies won the case, the tragedy of the decline of the three companies is inevitable. During the period of 1997, the sales of three kinds of oral liquids were close to 200 million yuan, while in April after the incident, the sales of three kinds of oral liquids were only several million yuan. After the judgment of the first instance, the number of the three formal employees decreased from 6.5438+0.5 million to 20,000, resulting in a direct loss of more than 4 billion yuan, and finally they had to go bankrupt.
In fact, this is a crisis that can "roll with the punches", and Zhu San has enough time and opportunity to avoid this tragedy. At the beginning of the incident, the plaintiff directly found three companies and demanded compensation of 200,000 yuan, but the three companies refused the compensation request of the other company and chose to go to court. As a result, Zhu San Group won the lawsuit, but lost the whole company.
Mistakes in details can cause great crises, not only in enterprises, but also in our lives. If small mistakes are not eradicated, they will become big mistakes or even bigger ones. For example, some cadres now regard buying a meal, drinking a bottle of wine, taking a bag of tea and smoking a cigarette as harmless "details mistakes", and think that as long as they don't make big mistakes, engage in big corruption and make some details mistakes, they will get some small benefits, and the organization will be tolerant and forgiving. In fact, no one should have the luck mentality of "never doing it again" and the speculative mentality of "winning it as soon as possible". As the saying goes, "if a small hole is not filled, a big hole will suffer." Many outstanding leading cadres have become corrupt, often starting with "small mistakes" such as having a light meal, going to a ballroom and receiving a "red envelope", and finally getting worse, leading to imprisonment or even losing their lives.
The word "product" often plays a role in the "crisis" caused by "subtle changes". Just as great ambition and great ambition cannot be realized in one day, the "crisis" of extinction did not suddenly fall from the sky. Hu Changqing, Li Jiating, Meng Qingping and others have degenerated from senior leading cadres of the Party into criminals. Isn't this "life depravity crisis" the result of their abuse of power for personal gain, bribery and lust corruption?
It can be seen that "sudden micro" is not terrible, what is terrible is "sudden micro-accumulation" and what is terrible is the laissez-faire of "sudden micro-accumulation". If we don't take our mistakes seriously, ignore them because they are small, and let "small things accumulate", it will inevitably expand in the long run and lead to a fatal crisis. There is a passage written in a book: "In the world, there are many people who want to do great things, but few people are willing to do small things;" We don't lack great strategists, what we lack is excellent executors; There is no shortage of all kinds of management rules and regulations. What is lacking is to implement the rules and regulations to the letter. We must change the shortcomings of impetuousness, superficiality and inferiority, and advocate paying attention to details and doing small things. "
This sentence is also incisive if it is used in the sense of crisis. Therefore, in order to avoid the crisis, we should not ignore the tiny details.
