With the sustained growth of China's national economy, both material life and spiritual life have reached a new level, and it has gradually changed to a well-off society. Corresponding to people's increasing demands for the catering industry, people's consumption concepts are also showing a diversified development trend. When people eat, they not only require good food, but also have higher requirements for the dining environment. Modern dining space design requires not only reasonable use function, but also beautiful and comfortable environment atmosphere to meet people's spiritual needs. Different functions will bring psychological influence to people in different dining environments, and also affect people's psychological behavior in dining space design. There are several different design styles of dining space, so the design of dining space depends on the actual situation of time and place, and different geography, culture, nationality and lifestyle will have a relative impact on dining space. Only with good ideas and creativity can we create a perfect indoor dining environment and create a unique dining atmosphere.

By analyzing the main factors influencing the design of dining space in this project, the design principles and methods of dining space, and further expounding the innovative design of modern restaurant design in the development process, this paper puts forward some suggestions on the design of modern restaurant combined with its own research. It is hoped that the research of this topic can provide theoretical basis for the future design of dining space and improve the understanding of dining space design.
