2. Summary of core journals of humanities and social sciences in China.
Developed by China Social Science Bibliometric Evaluation Research Center and Chinese Academy of Social Sciences Bibliographic Information Center. Since 1996, the center has established a statistical analysis database of social science papers in China. According to the research results in recent years and the statistical analysis of a large number of data, 1999 core journals of humanities and social sciences in China were determined, and the Outline of Core Journals of Humanities and Social Sciences in China was compiled, which included 506 core journals of humanities and social sciences, basically covering the main academic journals of humanities and social sciences in China. Reflecting the academic level of Chinese humanities and social sciences papers, it is the core journal of academic research recognized by China Academy of Social Sciences, and it is also an important information base for statistical analysis and literature evaluation of academic achievements of humanities and social sciences in China. The Academy of Social Sciences updates and supplements the core journals every year, and eliminates those that do not meet the selection criteria of core journals.
3. Source journals of Chinese scientific citation database.
China Science Citation Database (CSCD) is jointly funded by the National Natural Science Foundation of China and China Academy of Sciences, and developed by the Literature Information Center of China Academy of Sciences. The first edition of CSCD (1996) included 3 15 periodicals, and the second edition (1997) increased to 582 periodicals. After several expansions, 1500 species were included in 2000. The system refers to the compilation system of American Science Citation Index (SCI), and according to the "28 Law" (that is, 80% of the main documents are distributed in 20% of the core journals), the core journals with high level and good editing quality are selected from more than 4,000 natural science journals in China. Using this database, we can find papers and citations published in core journals, and more importantly, its evaluation function. Using the cited data, we can evaluate the academic level and status of individuals, laboratories and academic institutions, and evaluate the quality of periodicals.
In addition, China Academic Journals (CD-ROM Edition), Editorial Committee of China Journals Network and China Scientific Literature Metrology Center have identified 3,500 journals as the source journals of the comprehensive evaluation database of Chinese academic journals, and 900 journals of humanities and social sciences as the source journals of the citation database of humanities and social sciences in China.
