Ultrasonic sensor is a sensor developed by applying the characteristics of ultrasonic. Ultrasonic wave is a kind of mechanical wave with higher vibration frequency than sound wave generated by transducer chip under voltage excitation. It has the characteristics of high frequency, right or wrong wave, small diffraction scene and excellent deflection, and may be used as directional transmission of light.
Ultrasonic wave has great penetrating power to both liquid and solid, especially in the solid with dim sunlight, which can penetrate to the depth of tens of meters. Ultrasonic waves will have obvious reflection when they meet impurities or interfaces, and will be reflected into echoes, and Doppler effect will occur when they meet moving objects. Therefore, ultrasonic testing is widely used in industry, national defense, biomedicine and other fields.
Precautions for ultrasonic sensors:
1. In order to ensure reliability and long service life, please do not install the sensor outdoors or at a place where the temperature is higher than room temperature.
2. Because the ultrasonic sensor uses the atmosphere as the transmission medium, when the temperature is locally different, the reflection and refraction at the boundary may lead to misoperation, and when the wind blows, the detection interval will also change. Therefore, the sensor should not be installed next to equipment such as forced ventilation equipment.
3. The air ejected from the air nozzle has many frequencies, which will affect the sensor. Do not apply it near the sensor.
4. The water drop under the name of the sensor shortens the detection interval.
5. Data such as fine powder and cotton yarn cannot be detected when receiving sound (reflective sensor).
6. Do not use sensors in vacuum areas or explosion-proof areas.
7. Do not install sensors in areas with steam; The atmosphere in this area is unstable. There will be a temperature gradient, which will lead to measurement errors.
