The beauty contest is one of the most popular international competitions. The American Mathematical Modeling Competition for College Students, referred to as the American Competition for short, is the only international mathematical modeling competition and the most influential mathematical modeling competition in the world. The content of the competition involves many fields such as economy, management, environment, resources, ecology, medicine and safety.

Competition requirements: three students (undergraduates) are a group, and all the work from modeling, solving, verification to thesis writing is completed within four days. It mainly tests the ability of contestants to study problems and solutions and the spirit of teamwork.

Competition questions: There are two kinds of mathematical modeling competitions for American college students, MCM (Mathematical Modeling Competition) and ICM (Interdisciplinary Modeling Competition). These two kinds of competitions have a unified standard. After the contest questions came out, the parameter team selected topics through official website and the United States, and divided them into six categories.

Award setting: The United States * * * sets six awards, namely, outstanding winners, finalists, meritorious service winners, honorary awards, successful participants and unsuccessful participants. These awards are abbreviated as O, F, M, H and S respectively.
