How to track the research in your field of concern?
Let me talk about my own practice first. If you have a better way or a more convenient way to use it, please tell me and share it with me. Thank you.

1, pay attention to a specific person.

After entering the website of Science, we just need to fill in the name of a cool person we are concerned about in the author column as usual, and then search. After that, there is a "Search History" link at the top of the search results page. Click "Save History" after entering, and then fill in your email address on the new page that comes out, so that you will receive the title and abstract of the latest paper of this awesome person every week.

If cattle people have the same name at first, we all know that we can use the link of "author identification" to filter. Not much to say here.

2. Follow up the latest progress of research topics.

Before doing this, you must have an RSS reader. There are many online. I think Google Reader is very useful.

Take "solar cell" as an example, there is a webpage: http://scitation.aip.org/jhtml/scitation/search/.

Click enter, write "solar cell" in the first column, then select "abstract/title/keyword", and then click the "search" button to see the search results on the new page. Then you can see the "RSS" icon, click it and subscribe to your RSS reader, so that you can see the titles and abstracts of the latest research papers on "solar cells" every day.

Of course, you can also use this page to track some awesome research, as 1 said.

3. Pay attention to the magazines you care about.

Similarly, you need to have an RSS reader first. Next, go to the homepage of the magazine you care about and find the RSS subscription icon or link. After subscription. You can see the titles and abstracts of the latest articles in these magazines every day.

4. Tracks with endnotes.

Of course, if it's not too much trouble, it's ok to directly enter search terms in the "online search" of Endnote software and then get all those articles into Endnote. The advantage of using Endnote is that you can download the full text directly.
