Vaccine and Autism 1998, British doctor AndrewWakefield published an article in The Lancet, claiming that autism is related to measles and mumpsandrubella (MMR), but this influential paper was finally proved to be false, which was withdrawn by The Lancet and Wakefield's license was revoked. After Wakefield's paper was published, a series of more rigorous studies failed to find the correlation between leprosy vaccine and autism.
Measles vaccine, mumps vaccine and rubella vaccine are short for triple vaccine. The three vaccines are vaccinated together. Under normal circumstances, infants should be vaccinated against measles in about 8 months.
