Hello: bioethanol in a broad sense does not refer to ethanol prepared by biological methods. But refers to ethanol prepared from biomass (including cellulose, hemicellulose and lignin). There are two ways to convert biomass into ethanol.

One is fermentation, which basically starts from glucose (glucose is the monomer of cellulose) and a series of circular reactions occur in the body of the enzyme to produce ethanol. This is more complicated, but it is also clearly studied, which can be seen in books)

The other is a chemical method, which uses a catalyst to catalytically reduce cellulose or hemicellulose under hydrogen to produce ethanol. Lignin conversion is difficult, and it is almost impossible to obtain ethanol directly. The specific process has not been studied clearly.

Corn wet method is the fermentation method, because corn contains a lot of sugar. Simply put, ethanol produced by brewing needs to be dehydrated to make fuel ethanol.
