Since 1895, Yan Fu has written many political papers. He has published articles such as "On the Urgency of World Change" and "On Saving the Country", attacking China's feudal system and criticizing feudalism. At the same time, he praised the academic thoughts and political views of the bourgeoisie, expounded the theory and program of reform: "inspiring people's strength", "inspiring people's wisdom", "inspiring people's wisdom" and "promoting people's morality", and called for banning opium and foot-binding. Establish colleges, abolish autocratic politics and implement constitutional monarchy. Yan Fu's thought was like a bolt from the blue to the closed people of China at that time, and had a great influence on patriotic intellectuals who were eager to save the country and survive.
