At present, there are still obvious problems in the educational reform of criminals, such as attaching importance to labor education and neglecting ideological education, and it is often difficult to achieve good educational reform results. It is very necessary to strengthen the construction of prison culture on the existing basis and give full play to the role of ideological education in educating and reforming criminals. This paper mainly discusses this.
First, the meaning of prison culture
There are two main ways to understand the definition of prison culture, one is broad and the other is narrow. In a broad sense, it mainly refers to the sum of all spiritual wealth and material wealth of a prison. In a narrow sense, it mainly refers to specific cultural ways and means, such as various forms of cultural and sports activities. Like other social cultures, prison culture consists of two parts, namely, the main culture and subculture, and the main culture. Subculture refers to the behavior pattern and value standard that criminal groups consciously abide by in prison. The prison culture mentioned in this paper mainly refers to the mainstream culture recognized by the society.
The process of prison culture construction mainly includes the following aspects: (1) spiritual culture construction, mainly the construction of prison spirit and prison concept, mainly in the form of criminal interest training groups and problem activities, which is also the core and key content of the whole guardianship culture construction; (2) The construction of institutional culture is mainly to revise and improve the internal rules and regulations, management system and related law enforcement activities of prisons, and its main purpose is to create an orderly internal order of prisons; (3) Material and cultural construction is mainly the construction of external functional facilities, distribution of prison areas, green environment and external buildings. The content of construction is a tangible part, and it is also the foundation and the most basic guarantee of other related construction.
Compared with other forms of places, prisons are closed and have poor mobility. In the process of serving a sentence, criminals gradually form a small society that is relatively independent from the outside world, that is, prison society. In the early days of prison establishment, it formed a world outlook, personal outlook, values and code of conduct different from the outside world, and gradually developed into a unique prison culture in the long-term development process. This culture began when criminals entered the prison. Will have a subtle influence on criminals. If criminals want to adapt to the environment of prison society, they must move closer to the standards of prison culture and change the original way of dealing with others, and in this process, prison subculture will gradually form. The main purpose of prison culture construction is to effectively reduce and buffer all kinds of bad cultures in prisons and prevent criminals from getting infected with all kinds of bad cultures while serving their sentences in prisons. It can be seen that the construction of prison culture is visible throughout the prison.
Second, the main problems in the process of prison culture construction
Although prison culture plays a very important role in the process of prison social construction, there are still many problems in the process of prison cultural construction at present, mainly as follows:
(1) Some prisons do not pay enough attention to the construction of prison culture in the process of criminal education. At present, the construction of prison culture in a large number of prisons in China is still in its infancy, and some areas only pay attention to some one-sided effects in the process of prison culture construction, without a holistic and systematic concept, which makes it difficult to achieve good results in prison culture construction. This is mainly due to the great influence of the traditional concept of labor reform, which makes it stay in the construction of surface culture in the process of prison culture construction and pay insufficient attention to the construction of related systems;
(2) The effect of prison education reform is not obvious. The two major functions of prisons are to reform and punish criminals, and the ultimate goal is to reform criminals, which requires strengthening technical education, cultural education and ideological education for criminals. However, in real life, prisons often focus on the punishment of criminals and pay insufficient attention to the education and reform of criminals, which will lead to the difficulty in achieving good results in the education and reform of criminals.
Thirdly, the enlightenment of prison culture construction to the education and reform of criminals.
(A) with the help of China traditional culture to enhance prison culture.
My traditional culture is extensive and profound, and many of them are worth learning from the development of modern society. Therefore, in the process of developing prison culture, we should pay attention to absorbing the essence of traditional culture, such as Taoism, Confucianism and shame culture in China traditional culture, which are worth learning from in prison culture construction. In the process of educating and reforming criminals, it is often difficult to achieve good educational results by explaining the relevant reasons to criminals and making them realize the harm of their past criminal acts to society. However, if we learn the traditional culture of our country in the process of educating criminals, criminals can not only improve their cultural literacy, but also help them to turn over a new leaf and achieve good educational reform results by understanding some essence of our traditional culture.
(2) Processing and integrating the existing prison culture, so that it can play a good role in educating and reforming criminals.
Prison culture can play a good role in the educational reform of criminals, but it also contains negative content, which is not conducive to the educational reform of criminals. This requires that prison culture can be effectively processed and integrated in the actual process of prison culture construction, so that positive prison culture can be applied to the educational reform of criminals and play a good role in education and punishment. In the actual process of processing and integrating prison culture, we should pay attention to the following problems: (1) We can effectively combine prison culture construction with criminal labor reform and ideological education reform, and we can neither separate prison culture from criminal labor reform and ideological reform, nor simply ignore relevant prison culture in the process of criminal education reform; (2) It is necessary to strictly distinguish between prison culture construction and conditions such as commutation, parole and probation. The main purpose of criminal law enforcement is to punish criminals and prevent related criminal cases. No matter what kind of punishment is imposed, this basic idea must be well implemented. Therefore, in the process of reducing the sentence of criminals, it should be carried out in strict accordance with the relevant provisions of relevant laws and regulations. And to ensure a certain limit, in the process of developing prison culture, we must not forget this point, its main purpose is to strengthen the execution of punishment through the influence on criminals; (3) The construction of prison culture should be moderate, which is a long-term and systematic work. Therefore, in the process of prison culture construction, we should be able to grasp the size and pay attention to the scale. We should not put prison culture construction above education reform and labor reform, but should be able to build prison culture and promote the smooth development of criminal education reform.
(3) Pay enough attention to the construction of prison culture.
The most basic content of education is the education and reform of criminals. In the process of reforming criminals, in order to give full play to the guiding and probation functions of prison culture and influence every criminal's mind, thought and soul through prison culture, we need to pay enough attention to the construction of prison culture ideologically, and realize the important significance of prison culture construction in the process of reforming criminals in essence, so as to help prison culture play a good role in the actual education and reform of criminals.
Four. conclusion
Through the analysis of this paper, we can see that it is very important to actively introduce the positive content of prison culture in the process of criminal education and reform. This paper mainly analyzes and discusses the enlightenment of prison culture construction to the education and reform of criminals.
