1. Training goal: to train senior engineering and technical personnel who can meet the needs of socialist modernization, develop morally, intellectually, physically and aesthetically, understand and master the basic theory and knowledge of civil engineering, and obtain basic training for engineers. Graduates can engage in the design, construction and management of civil engineering, and have preliminary project planning and research and development capabilities.

Professional Course Group 1: Architectural Engineering
The architectural engineering course group of our college, formerly known as the industrial and civil architecture specialty of the former chongqing jianzhu university Institute of Civil Engineering and Architecture, is an old specialty of more than 50 years, which has accumulated rich experience and abundant teachers. 1995 passed the first batch of national colleges and universities construction engineering professional education evaluation, which is in a leading position in the west and even the whole country.
Building engineering is one of the most widely covered and widely used specialties in civil engineering. It mainly trains talents engaged in structural design, construction and project management in industrial and civil buildings. The main knowledge contents of architectural engineering courses include: engaging in the design and construction of architectural structures requires more knowledge of mechanics, structure (concrete structure, masonry structure, steel structure) and construction. A qualified structural engineer or builder needs to learn and master the following two aspects of knowledge: (1) basic theoretical knowledge of technology, that is, (1) basic knowledge of engineering geology and hydrogeology; (2) Basic principles and experimental methods of soil mechanics, with basic knowledge of rock mechanics; (3) The basic principles and analysis methods of material mechanics can correctly abstract and analyze various basic components under stress; (4) Calculation principles and analysis methods of various structural systems; (5) The mechanical properties, design principles and methods, and basic structural measures of basic components of concrete structure, masonry structure and steel structure will be calculated and designed according to national standards; (6) Understand the basic performance of main building materials, and their applicable occasions and selection principles. Professional Course Group 2: Geotechnical Engineering
Geotechnical engineering is one of the important branches of civil engineering, which takes the utilization, transformation and renewal of geotechnical engineering as the research object and undertakes the teaching work of undergraduate and graduate students of geotechnical engineering. Geotechnical engineering discipline was founded in 1952, and 1984 was authorized by the doctor's degree. It is one of the disciplines with a long history, strong comprehensive strength and remarkable professional characteristics in Chongqing University. The scientific research achievements and brilliant achievements obtained in the past decades are well-known at home and abroad, and have trained geotechnical engineering professionals all over the world.
The course group has first-class rock mechanics laboratory and engineering geology and soil mechanics laboratory, which is the key laboratory of the Ministry of Construction and Chongqing. Equipped with the most advanced INSTRON electro-hydraulic servo numerical control triaxial testing machine at present, it has relatively complete rock force test, conventional geotechnical test and field test survey equipment, which provides good conditions for teaching and scientific research. Many scientific research projects and major projects are studied here, and many achievements have won provincial and ministerial level scientific and technological progress awards, which can be described as fruitful and talented.
Through the key construction of "2 1 1 project" in the Ninth Five-Year Plan, the course group has been further improved in the aspects of academic echelon construction, experimental equipment support, scientific research development and personnel training quality. Geotechnical engineering attaches great importance to the combination of Industry-University-Research and the transformation of scientific research achievements, actively participates in the western development and the construction of the Three Gorges reservoir area, the steep slope project of the Three Gorges permanent shiplock, the development of light rail and underground space in Chongqing, the early warning and prevention of geological disasters in the Three Gorges, the treatment of dangerous rock landslides in Chongqing, the formulation of treatment standards for foundation slopes and landslides in Chongqing, the treatment of complex foundations in Chongqing and the quality inspection of geotechnical engineering, all of which have devoted their wisdom and painstaking efforts.
The employment situation of undergraduate graduates in this course group is good every year. Employers mainly include architectural design institutes, construction units, industrial bureaus, railway bureaus, underground civil air defense, universities, engineering quality supervision stations and real estate companies. Engaged in the design and construction of slope engineering, underground engineering, foundation engineering, geological disaster prevention engineering, geological survey and building quality monitoring, and engaged in teaching, scientific research and engineering consulting of geotechnical mechanics theory and engineering in colleges and research institutes. This discipline has two doctoral degree authorization points of geotechnical engineering, geotechnical engineering and geological engineering, and recruits more than 20 doctoral students and 20 master students every year. Road and bridge engineering is a branch of civil engineering and a key hub in engineering. Since the reform and opening up, bridge construction has developed rapidly, which has played a key role in improving people's living environment, improving investment environment and promoting the rapid development of experience.
Since 1996, the Ministry of Construction reported to the State Education Commission for approval to set up the major of urban road and bridge engineering, the enrollment scale has been expanded year by year, the teaching staff has been continuously enriched and developed, and the teaching and scientific research work has gradually stepped out of its own way. The class group has master's and doctor's authorization points in bridge and tunnel engineering. In recent years, the school has invested 1 more than ten thousand yuan to build a new road and bridge laboratory, and continued to invest in the second phase of "2 1 1 project", which laid a solid foundation for the development of this discipline and provided a reliable guarantee.
The course group aims to train senior engineering and technical personnel engaged in bridge survey, design, construction management, scientific and technological development and teaching and research. Students are required to have a solid grasp of the basic knowledge required for their major direction; Have the ability of bridge engineering survey, design and construction, and have knowledge of road and bridge technology, economy and management; Master the basic skills of design, operation, experiment and computer application necessary for this major, and obtain the basic training of engineers and the preliminary training of scientific research methods; Be able to read foreign language books and periodicals of this major smoothly; Have good cultural quality, psychological quality and certain aesthetic accomplishment, and have certain independent work and creative ability.
Graduates mainly work in various departments of bridge construction, engaged in highway bridge survey, design, construction, supervision and management. Since the enrollment of 1996, more than 60 students have been trained 160. Because of solid basic knowledge and innovation, it is very popular with employers. The employment situation has maintained a good momentum of demand exceeding supply. In recent years, the annual supply-demand ratio of road and bridge specialty is above 1:5, and it shows an upward trend year by year, reaching 1:6 in 2006.
Specialized Course Group 4: Road Engineering
Transportation is the main artery of the national economy. Since the reform and opening up, China's high-grade highways and urban roads have developed rapidly, which has played a key role in improving people's living environment, improving investment environment and promoting economic take-off.
Since 1996, the Ministry of Construction reported to the State Education Commission for approval to set up the specialty of road and bridge engineering, the enrollment scale of road engineering courses has been expanded year by year, the teaching staff has been continuously enriched and developed, and it has gradually developed its own way in teaching and scientific research. The course group has a master's degree authorization point in road and railway engineering. At present, China's high-grade highway construction is in its heyday. However, as the focus of national economic construction shifts to the west, highway construction will face the problem of regional characteristics. According to the characteristics of high-grade highway construction in mountainous areas, the research group is (or has been) carrying out research on the typical structure of subgrade and pavement, road materials and high slope protection. Many research results are directly applied to highway construction projects, which have played an important role in technical guidance and made important contributions to the development of the western region.
The purpose of this course group is to cultivate senior engineering and technical talents in road engineering planning, design, construction and research and development, which are urgently needed for the construction of high-grade highways and national road traffic networks in China. Students are required to have a solid grasp of the basic knowledge required by this major and acquire the following knowledge and abilities: basic knowledge and abilities in highway and urban road survey and design, construction, supervision, maintenance, maintenance and management, traffic engineering, etc. Master the basic skills of design, operation, experiment and computer application necessary for this major; Get basic training for engineers and basic scientific research ability training for highways and urban roads; Able to read foreign language books and periodicals of this major smoothly, with good cultural quality, psychological quality and certain aesthetic quality; Have certain ability to work independently and innovate.
Graduates are mainly engaged in the survey, design, construction, supervision, management and scientific research of this major in transportation or urban construction departments, and can also engage in the teaching of this major in colleges and universities. With the development of China's transportation industry, the demand for transportation construction and management professionals is increasing, and the distribution of graduates is in short supply. The ratio of supply and demand reached 1:7 in 2003. Because of their solid basic knowledge and innovation, the students trained in this major are generally welcomed by employers and have good employment prospects.
Professional course group 5: installation engineering
Mainly engaged in the installation of equipment, structures, pipelines, electrical and control systems for industrial construction projects and advanced civil construction projects in China. It plays an important role in China's economic construction. In the brilliant achievements of machinery, petrochemical, steel, energy, aviation, aerospace, light industry, urban construction, education and scientific research, the workload completed by the installation industry accounts for a considerable proportion.
The teaching plan of the installation class group is roughly divided into four parts:
1. foundation board: under the platform of civil engineering, the basic theories of mechanical design, electrotechnics and electronics have been deepened as needed. I mainly study the basic theories of mechanics, mechanics and electricity and the basic knowledge of civil engineering structure.
2. Project Management Section: This section offers a series of courses such as engineering technology and economy, contract, project management, construction organization design, project cost and bidding, bidding, laws and regulations.
3. Building Equipment Department: This department offers a series of courses, such as electrical control, factory power supply, modern fire protection engineering, modern air conditioning engineering, etc.
4. Installation and construction technology section: This section has set up a series of courses such as installation principle, hoisting technology, welding technology and pipeline technology. This course is designed according to the requirements of the national construction engineer (installation) examination outline.
Our school is the only university with an installation course group. There are only more than 60 undergraduate graduates every year. Previous graduates were in short supply and were welcomed and praised by employers.
Because the knowledge points of the installation course group are highly complex, the future development can be divided into two aspects: (1) postgraduate entrance examination: postgraduate students who can apply for "structure" and "management" of civil engineering; (2) Engineering construction: install graduates from the course group to go to the engineering construction, and have a broad performance stage to show themselves.
Second, surveying and mapping engineering specialty
Main courses: higher education, computer programming, surveying, survey adjustment, control survey, photogrammetry, engineering survey, cadastral survey and land management, spatial positioning technology and application, surveying instruments, introduction to civil engineering, introduction to real estate, engineering economics, etc.
Surveying and mapping engineering graduates can engage in the planning, design, implementation and management of urban construction planning and management, transportation (including roads, railways and water transport), land and real estate, industrial enterprises, oceans, architecture, water conservancy, electric power, petroleum, metallurgy, national defense, surveying and mapping, engineering survey, urban and enterprise information management and other fields of surveying and mapping and related information engineering. , but also in government departments, teaching and research units engaged in related work. It has the characteristics of wide employment, strong adaptability and great social demand, and generally goes to units or departments such as land and resources, civil construction, survey, teaching and scientific research.
