1, variety characteristics

Di Wei plum was introduced from California, USA, and belongs to the early-maturing hybrid variety of apricot and plum series. Among them, the gene of plum accounts for 75%, and the gene of apricot accounts for 25%. Taste sweet, unique and refreshing, accompanied by aroma, high quality. Most of them are cross-pollination and the self-pollination rate is low. The same series of flavor roses can be selected as pollination trees for breeding.

2. Fruit characteristics

The peel of Di Wei plum has a thin layer of fruit powder, which is blue when it is eight ripe, and it is lavender with red spots when it is fully ripe in May and June. The weight of single fruit is between 60 ~ 150g, the flesh is red, the sugar content is as high as 20%, the fruit is hard enough to be stored, and it can be stored for two weeks in natural state and three months at low temperature.

3. Planting time

The best planting time of Di Wei plum is autumn 10 ~ 1 1, which is beneficial to leaf bud germination and accelerate rooting in the next spring. In extremely cold areas such as Xinjiang, it should be carried out after the ice and snow melt to prevent frostbite. In the first year after planting, the stem should be fixed when it grows to 80cm, and all the auxiliary buds in the lower part should be cut off when it grows to more than 30cm.
