The northern part of Yunnan-Guizhou Plateau is Qinling and Qinghai-Tibet Plateau, which blocks the cold air. The latitude of Yunnan-Guizhou Plateau is low, and the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau is too high to climb the height of the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau, so freezing rain events are rare.
