But I attach great importance to Mr. Chen's True Story of Ah Q, firstly because this work contains Mr. Chen's mature creative experience and high ideological level; Secondly, due to the ideological depth and characteristics of the times contained in Mr. Lu Xun's novel of the same name, such a playwright who feels the same suffering of the times, life anxiety and social responsibility creatively interprets the form of drama, which is very beautiful together.
Lu Xun, The True Story of Ah Q, national character, has become the most frequently used word in China's century-old novel research and cultural research. The True Story of Ah Q is the most profound representative of portraying typical characters in China's modern novels, and it has been repeatedly adapted and staged on the stage of modern drama in China, with many kinds of dramas.
Since the 1920s, Chen Mengshao's True Story of Ah Q (1), Yuan's True Story of Ah Q (2) and Tian Han's True Story of Ah Q (3) have appeared successively. The movie scripts and drama scripts written by Mr. Chen in 1963 and 198 1 are also milestones in the adaptation of Lu Xun's novels. According to the data, this important novel of Lu Xun was also adapted and staged in Japan and France in the 1970s. 1In the spring of 999, the Korean National Troupe also staged the first Korean "True Story of Ah Q" at the Nanshan National Theater in Seoul. The script used is actually an adaptation of Mr. Chen. This drama is the first batch of repertoires of "Korean-Chinese-Japanese East Asian Drama Retrospect Performance" planned by the Korean National Troupe that year. Mr. Chen's Korean script adapted from The True Story of Ah Q was translated by Jiang and Dong Guotai, Korean students from the Central Academy of Drama. As an international student, it was insightful and competent to choose to translate Mr. Chen's plays. Because Lu Xun is a cultural monument in the history of modern thought, culture and novel in China, The True Story of Ah Q is his masterpiece. Mr. Chen is a witness, activist and famous playwright of China's modern drama. The True Story of Ah Q, which he adapted from Lu Xun's novel of the same name, is skillful, steady in style and profound in thought. As a contemporary playwright nourished by Lu Xun's thoughts, his understanding and interpretation of Lu Xun's novels and thoughts has great reliability in his ideological, emotional and social analysis. In this sense, the choice of these two Korean students is discriminatory in cultural vision and works.
Needless to say, China's literature and art in the new period since the end of 1970s, on the one hand, has increased its awareness of consuming classics and using celebrities, on the other hand, it lacks due respect and prudence for classics and celebrities. Under the trend of deconstruction and banter of fashion words, the adaptation of Lu Xun's works is also arbitrary. From about 200 1 to 2002, a TV series "The True Story of Ah Q" with an episode of 10 was broadcast on TV. The whole series is the "incompatibility" between men and women in Wei Zhuang and Lu Zhen in Lu Xun's novels, which caused controversy at that time. I don't want to comment on the debate, but I just want to show my value orientation through my thesis, which is the adaptation of Chen, who is close to Lu Xun's original work in my mind.

As early as 1930, 10, and 13, Lu Xun wrote back to an adaptation of The True Story of Ah Q by Wang Qiaonan, saying, "In my opinion, The True Story of Ah Q has no elements of adaptation of scripts and movies, because once it is put on the stage, it will only be funny. I don't want to be funny or write this article. Besides, as the director of the film and television drama said, at this time, the script should focus on women's feet, and my work is not worthy of the attention of one of these audiences. Let it' die'. " (4) According to the research of Mr. Jiang Deming, this Wang Qiaonan wrote to Mr. Lu Xun in May of 1930, asking for his opinions on the adaptation of Lu Xun's novels. He hopes to add a little more "art" flavor to the fashionable and lively domestic films. He said: "Some people say that now is the era of' Ah Q is dead', but when I open my eyes, this poor gray Ah Q is still everywhere. I have always wanted to give him another life and force him to the screen. " (5) Lu Xun was moved by his thoughts and did not resolutely stop his desire for adaptation. He also said: "I also know that teacher Wang may not perform after editing, but it may be performed after the script is completed, so the answer is as above." (6) However, 1932, a collection of plays published by Peiping Cultural Society and published by Donghua Bookstore in April, was discovered by Mr. Jiang Deming. Among the five movies and animated scripts (seven), one script is the longest, called Silent Funny Movie, with "Women and Others" printed on the margin. Gong Li is his pen name. In the postscript after Ah Q's script, he admitted: "This play was adapted from the true story of Ah Q in Scream and was recognized by the original author. Thank you. " According to the existing materials of Lu Xun Museum, Wang Qiaonan once transferred his publications to Lu Xun for "teaching revision" (8). However, Lu Xun finally replied to him: "It became a' woman and face'.
