Let's briefly talk about the topic selection of social work graduates' papers. Welcome to read and learn from them.
One aspect of academic corruption is to repeat other people's research, which is intolerable in academic circles. In other words, someone has done this topic before, and then this year's classmates did it again, without changing the angle. It is not worth mentioning how much academic innovation there is. This will lead to, as soon as the graduation thesis is opened, the teacher will say, all of us have done it, why do you still do it? To this end, graduates are at a loss. Will they change their topics? How innovative can you be if you don't change?
In addition to the lack of creativity in the topic selection, I personally find that the research methods (including perspectives and methods) have nothing to attract attention. Most of them write graduation thesis, which leads to this situation. In other words, if you don't pay attention, you didn't train well before, and that's what happened in the end. On the other hand, if you take your graduation thesis as your own training, and hope to improve yourself by writing it, you will receive critical, discriminating and logical training, which will be different.
For example, social workers should pay attention to vulnerable groups, and disabled children are one of the research objects. When opening the topic on 20 18, some students were concerned about how to use social workers to intervene and take group activities to enhance their application. But there is another one in 20 15, which also talks about the integration of this group. So, aren't these two the same? For a teacher, he doesn't know what to do if he is not allowed to do it. If he is allowed to do it, it is academic corruption and a waste of academic ethics.
Why is this?
I think it is mainly related to students' practice and reading. First of all, there are too few institutional internships on weekdays, or they are monotonous. I don't know that social workers can not only take care of disabled children, but also pay attention to groups such as the elderly, women and retired soldiers. ? See less, so think less? . Secondly, I study too little on weekdays and can't keep my eyes open. I have repeatedly stressed that we should read more books, don't limit ourselves to textbooks, and don't rely too much on teachers. After all, people are limited. If students don't have this initiative, what they end up writing can only repeat other people's themes, or? Change the soup without changing the medicine? what's up Research? . There's no point.
On the contrary, how to choose a topic? I think we can follow two dimensions, especially the undergraduate thesis, which is not so professional. (For example, many topics in social work papers are selected at the sociological level. ) Specifically, first, interesting research. For example, the study of sociology of fart, the study of hehe, the study of public transportation, and the study of XXX, since such cross-border is allowed, why not make a more interesting study in connection with real life and your own experience? I agree to this practice if conditions permit. I have also mentioned this kind of research to students and supported them to do it, but they dare not, for fear of being? Shoot? I don't think it's that serious. Second, meaningful research. For example, on the big issue of national development, does the government buy social work services? A new model of community governance? Pension issues, etc. It's all like this. In other words, we should either do macro research or micro research, but we can find that there are many nondescript meso studies now, and we don't know how to choose new topics. What should I do in the end? Why not just graduate?
In addition, we have repeatedly stressed that an article needs theoretical support, and it is not difficult to find that many of our students' graduation thesis does not pay attention to theoretical basis. The method is the same, I don't think it's normal. Theory, of course, the first choice is social work theory, advantage perspective, empowerment perspective and so on. But our students don't have this kind of consciousness, but from empirical analysis to empirical results, and finally they don't embed the theory into the case for analysis, and the results are not profound. This also does not meet the requirements of a graduation thesis. If the subject is sociological, I think it can also be studied with sociological theory, instead of saying it easily? Teacher, I don't find that sociological theory can explain this? This is really ridiculous. In the final analysis, either you didn't learn well or you want to be lazy. A discipline has developed for more than 200 years, nearly 300 years. Is there no theory suitable for your topic? Then you can be the originator of sociology, and Comte can be laid off.
In short, lack of initiative, lack of awareness of learning and thinking, lack of training, lack of communication, lack of desire to do a good job, worthy of four years of study, so there are many problems in the topic selection of graduation theory.
You said it was busy, but I don't think so. Students must be much more relaxed than teachers. As long as students are not lazy, I think they can do something, and even co-author articles with teachers. However, these do not seem to be common.
Why are we contemporary college students like this? I believe it's not just social work. Therefore, we need to reflect on our education, teaching and training mode, and even whether we are committed to training students. All this needs a question mark. Of course, there are some you want to bring, but you can't carry them. This is a feeling of powerlessness.
To put it bluntly, I don't put my mind on learning and thinking, my initiative is too poor, my attitude is not positive, I am lazy, and I am afraid of suffering. In this way, attitude is the first problem, followed by professional problems, so graduation thesis is not good.
