This major trains senior professionals with basic theories and knowledge of management, resource science and environmental science, basic skills of surveying and mapping, urban and rural planning and design, environmental monitoring and management, geographic information system and remote sensing technology, and engaged in resource development and utilization, urban and rural planning and management, scientific research and teaching. The academic system lasts for four years and the bachelor of science degree is awarded.
