Chen is the first surname of Qingyuan. Chen's celebrities include Chen Zhuo, a musician in the late Tang and Five Dynasties, a brother in the Northern Song Dynasty, Chen Quan and a famous Northern Expedition.

During the Southern Song Dynasty, Chen Zongge of Lianzhou was good at writing, and he had a "Yangyuan Hall" with many writings. During his exile in Lianzhou, Zhang Jun, a famous anti-gold figure, only liked to write papers with him.
