-"On China Literature"

The history of China literature is a glorious history, which has been far ahead of other countries in the world. Although it has experienced some disasters, it still cannot affect its ancient charm. If you can indulge in the study of China literature, you will surely feel its profoundness. Throughout the history of world literature development, the only thing that can match it is the literature of ancient Greece. However, I think ancient Greek literature is equivalent to yellow wine, which is sweet in mouth but not so deep in aftertaste. China's literature is as vivid as liquor; Although the entrance is a bit difficult, the aftertaste is so deep and long.

The difference between ancient Greek literature and China literature is due to the different geographical location; And cause literary differences. There should be nothing to compare, but the development of literature is mutual discovery; The process of learning from each other; From this point of view, it is valuable. Ancient Greece is a maritime country, and most of their research is related to their real life. They have frequent business contacts, so they are keen on the study of numbers. Coupled with some needs in navigation, some natural phenomena; And some knowledge of physics. Philosophers in early ancient Greece thought that everything in the world was made of water, and later it gradually developed into; Fire; Earth; Atoms and so on; These materials represent their progressive era and struggle course. China's early philosophers believed that everything was born based on the balance of yin and yang, and later it developed into Taiji and Liangyi. Two instruments produce four images; Four elephants give birth to everything. On this basis, China's achievements seem to be one step ahead of ancient Greece! At the same time, China is a land country with a relatively stable life. So I am keen on the meaning of life and some ideological things.

The mainstream of China literature is literature, and the heyday of literature is the Tang and Song Dynasties. One of my Chinese teachers once said to me, "If you want to write a good article, you must devote yourself to studying Tang poetry and Song poetry. Read well enough to recite. Read so well that you can use it. " However, I think this sentence is not comprehensive, China's literature is profound; Can it be summarized in Tang poetry and Song poetry? As far as the origin of China literature is concerned, The Book of Songs and The Songs of the South are not as flowery as the poems of Tang and Song Dynasties. But it also embodies the earliest literary thought. For example, the bold idea of Chu Ci does not correspond to Li Bai's reckless behavior! There are also the music rules of Yuanqu and the profound teachings of Confucius and Mencius; Most of them are indelible glories in the history of China literature; It is an essential thing for everyone who studies China literature! China's literary history is vast, which is irreplaceable by the achievements of a certain person or a certain era.

At the same time, the development history of China literature is also a history of ups and downs. From the origin of The Book of Songs and Chu Ci to the prosperity of Tang and Song poetry and Yuan Qu. From the decline between Ming and Qing Dynasties to the changes after the May 4th New Literature Movement. Then the stagnation of the Cultural Revolution, and then the literature of the new century. From the stylistic form, it has gradually developed into "folklore" and "popularization", which has become something that everyone in China can study. The earliest literary exploration was limited to "slave owners" and "aristocratic class", and the so-called "courtesy can't be compared with villains" and "punishment can't be compared with doctors". The "villains" here are not the people, but the lowest class. Later, with the change of social system, it led to a palace coup, which made some literati wander among the people. In order to survive, these vagrants began to "give lectures", then formed "ten schools" and finally evolved into "six schools", namely, "Confucianism and Taoism; Ink; Law; Name; And the yin and yang family. " At the same time, in order to adapt to the new "social system", the imperial examination system came into being in Sui and Tang Dynasties. With the emergence of "wandering among the people" and "imperial examination system" by some literati, China's literature gradually developed into popular folk customs; No longer belongs to the patent of the aristocratic class. From the choice of words and sentences in Tang poetry and Song poetry to the folklore of Yuanqu. Then from the "old stereotyped writing" in Ming and Qing Dynasties to the "vernacular writing" after the May Fourth New Literature; All reflect this change.

Prior to this, it was due to the brutality of the Qin Dynasty, and the establishment of the Qin Dynasty was helped by the Legalists. Therefore, after the establishment of the Han Dynasty, the decline of Legalism was also due to "Confucian benevolent government"; Confucianism, together with Tang and Huang, entered the historical stage and became the mainstream literature in China. Old Master Q's protege has been a great country for five thousand years, occupying almost every political corner and becoming the mainstream literature. However, a literary concept cannot exist forever. Confucian literature is to constantly absorb the essence of each family to enrich itself. After the prosperous Tang Dynasty, there was not much room for the development of Song poetry. At that time, the idea of "Zen" was very popular (Zen is essentially a combination of Buddhism and Taoism), so some literati absorbed the idea of "Zen". In his own literary works, Song Ci is undoubtedly another pioneering work in China's literary history. During the Ming and Qing Dynasties, the country was closed to the outside world, and many scholars regarded the western new literature as "an easy place". It was not until Lu Xun and others created new literature that they began to face up to western literature. Created a new literary genre and created another peak. Today, we have absorbed the essence of foreign literature, and at the same time pushed China literature to all countries in the world; Created the heyday of world literature.

Mr. Lu Xun once wrote in his work "Diary of a Madman": "Open the history of China, the word bloody; Eat people! But I think this is the inevitable product of social development, including Mr. Lu Xun and many literary predecessors. The development of history needs different literary concepts to adapt to the political situation at that time. Ideas are bound to be pedantic, and pedantry needs to be changed. Therefore, under the impetus of this generation of literati, literature can progress!
