With the rapid development of higher education in China, great changes have taken place in the ideological field of college teachers. In particular, the teaching moral level of college teachers needs to be greatly improved. From the perspective of combining theory with practice, this paper expounds the main problems existing in college teachers' morality in China, analyzes the causes of these problems, and puts forward a series of countermeasures to solve these problems.

College teachers, in a broad sense, are generally higher education workers who impart knowledge, skills, ideas and morality to the educational objects. Under the condition of Socialism with Chinese characteristics, public officials in any department and any occupation must have certain Marxist theoretical accomplishment and high moral quality. But for teachers in colleges and universities, the requirements in this respect are even higher. Everything a university teacher says and does will have an impact on college students. This requires college teachers to consciously strengthen the construction of professional ethics and set an example for students. College students respect and admire university teachers, and the most important thing is to respect their noble thoughts and good behavior habits. Every profession has professional ethics. As a teacher's professional ethics, it is a manifestation of professional ethics. Generally speaking, it refers to the sum of relatively stable moral concepts, behavioral norms and moral qualities formed by college teachers in the process of higher education. It is a code of conduct that regulates the relationship between teachers and others, teachers and collectives, and society, and it is the basic requirement of a certain society for teachers' professional behavior. This paper also discusses the problem of teachers' professional ethics, which is only one of the important components of professional ethics, that is, the teaching ethics of college teachers.
First, the connotation of college teachers' morality
Teachers' morality in colleges and universities is the basic moral standard that college teachers should follow in the teaching process. The purpose is to make the teaching work run orderly and efficiently. For the understanding of this definition, I think we should pay attention to the following points:
(A) a good teacher's morality is what college teachers should have, and it is the code of conduct and due responsibility for teachers to engage in teaching activities. There is no reason for university teachers to lower their teaching ethics. If we lower the teaching moral standards or relax the teaching moral requirements in the actual teaching work, it will lead to the decline of learning quality and students' interest in learning, and ultimately affect the effective operation of the whole teaching work. Therefore, teaching ethics is a necessary condition to ensure the smooth development of teaching and improve the teaching effect.
(2) Teaching ethics mainly refers to the moral norms that should be followed in classroom teaching. Teachers carefully prepare lessons, attend classes on time, carefully design classroom activities, and carefully correct homework. All these must be done in teaching practice. It is inseparable from the specific place and space of the school.
(3) The position and function of teaching ethics in teachers' professional ethics system. Because teaching is the most important link in all aspects of colleges and universities, the quality of running colleges and universities is reflected through teaching and learning. Teaching ethics, as a code of conduct to standardize teachers' teaching, has a core position and a leading role in the embodiment of college teachers' professional ethics.
Second, the current problems of college teachers' ethics
Most teachers in our country adhere to the party's educational policy, teach and educate people, and abide by professional ethics, especially the teaching ethics of higher teachers, which has made great contributions to the development of higher education in our country. There are also some teachers who don't concentrate on teaching, are irresponsible for their work, don't love students, don't love schools, don't care about the development of schools, and don't seriously adhere to teaching ethics. The main problems are as follows.
(1) Teachers have no dedication to work and a high sense of responsibility, and they don't love their students enough, so there is a phenomenon of teaching without educating people.
As for this issue, I think it is mainly a question of responsibility. Teachers should carefully organize the teaching of each class in accordance with the requirements of teaching norms, love education and have dedication. Some teachers only teach but don't educate people, don't communicate with students, leave after class, students can't answer many questions, lose interest in classroom teaching, and teaching work can't achieve high efficiency. Some teachers think that as long as they teach book knowledge, they complete the task and educate people. There are also some teachers who use class or after class to vent their dissatisfaction with reality and school at will. As a result, books are not taught well, which seriously affects the quality of education.
(2) Not paying attention to the art and skills of classroom teaching, not good at setting off the classroom atmosphere, simple teaching methods, and not paying attention to the innovation of teaching methods. University teaching is different from middle school. College students are closer to adults physically and psychologically. Autonomy and independence are enhanced, and the awareness of learning and innovation is obviously improved. In this case, teachers' teaching ideas are outdated, and the classroom lacks the meaning of life, so it is difficult to achieve teaching results. This requires teachers to carefully read courses such as Higher Education and Psychology of Higher Education, learn various teaching methods, promote democracy in teaching, inspire students to think independently by using the principle of discovery, and fully mobilize the enthusiasm of college students.
(3) It is against teachers' teaching ethics to show negative mentality and use incorrect language in class. Colleges and universities are a relatively open and relaxed environment, but our higher education is by no means a western higher education. We must adhere to the socialist orientation, and it is our educational aim to train senior professionals for socialist construction. Some teachers show students too much dark side outside, which will make students have a negative view of society and life. It should be said that teachers have violated the specific requirements of teaching ethics. In the teaching organized by teachers, the language is not standardized, the standard Mandarin is not standard, the language is not concise, there are too many mantras, people do not pay attention to communication with students, they do not try to figure out students' psychology, and they do not control themselves when dealing with problems, which seriously hurts students' self-esteem and brings many obstacles to teaching. Therefore, it is particularly necessary to further strengthen the construction of teachers' morality.
Third, in view of the problems existing in college teachers' ethics, countermeasures should be taken:
(A) efforts to improve teachers' professional teaching ability and improve teachers' teaching ethics.
How to improve teachers' professional teaching ability, first of all, teachers should have a pragmatic style of study, rigorous academic spirit and a highly serious and responsible attitude. Secondly, teachers should constantly learn the latest research results at home and abroad, actively follow the latest research results in the world, conduct in-depth research on relevant teaching contents, form an exploratory, inspiring and innovative knowledge system, and impart these latest knowledge to students in time to encourage them to think, which can improve their ability to use knowledge. Finally, teachers should not only have superb professional knowledge, but also have good cultural quality and personality charm, which can urge students to strengthen the tempering of cultural quality, improve students' comprehensive quality, and help to promote the early formation and development of students' outlook on life and values. Harmonious interaction between teachers and students can greatly promote the formation of a virtuous circle between teaching and learning, and is also very beneficial to the improvement of teachers' morality.
(2) Strengthening the cultivation of teachers' sense of responsibility is the prerequisite and necessary condition for improving teachers' morality. If teachers have a sense of responsibility for students, they will prepare lessons carefully, attend classes on time, carefully correct every assignment and carefully design every classroom activity, and the teaching level will be higher and higher. Teachers who take a highly responsible attitude towards students will win their respect and admiration and stimulate their enthusiasm for learning. Improving the teaching ability and scientific research level of college teachers will greatly improve the quality of education in colleges and universities.
(3) Incorporate the construction of teachers' morality into the annual assessment content, and establish and improve the regular working mechanism of teachers' morality construction. Only by incorporating the content of teachers' morality construction into the overall development plan of the school can we effectively promote the construction of teachers in colleges and universities and make the school really pay attention to the construction of teachers' morality. Combined with the annual assessment of the school year, the basic norms of teachers' professional ethics and teaching ethics are included in the comprehensive assessment index system of teachers. For example, through self-summary, student assessment and organizational assessment, teachers' political orientation, teaching responsibility and professionalism, rigorous academic attitude, innovative and enterprising spirit in teaching reform, teaching effect, being a teacher, teaching and educating people are comprehensively evaluated.
(4) Caring for college teachers, especially young teachers. At present, although the economic benefits of college teachers have improved, there is still a gap between them and their labor value, which has not been truly reflected. Teachers' efforts cannot be fully rewarded in time and effectively. These are realistic situations, which require the joint efforts of schools and the whole society to create a social atmosphere of loving, caring and serving teachers in the whole society, fully mobilize teachers' enthusiasm for work, and create material basis and conditions conducive to the construction of teachers' morality. Efforts should be made to improve teachers' social status, safeguard their material interests, improve their living conditions and working environment, make them devote themselves to teaching and scientific research, and form a good social atmosphere conducive to improving the construction of teachers' morality.
To sum up, the problem of teachers' morality in colleges and universities in China is determined by a series of subjective and objective conditions. Although it is only a problem of a few college teachers, it will further affect the improvement of the quality of higher education and is not conducive to the healthy, stable and sustainable development of higher education in China. Therefore, we should strive to explore new experiences and new measures to strengthen the construction of teachers' morality in colleges and universities in the new period, and push the construction of teachers' morality in colleges and universities in China to a new level.
