Langmuir's review cycle
Langmuir's audit period is 3 months.

Langmuir is one of the periodicals published by the American Chemical Society. It was founded in 1985, and its name comes from 1932, the surname of irving langmuir, the winner of the Nobel Prize in chemistry. The current editor-in-chief is Professor Gilbert C. Walker, Department of Chemistry, University of Toronto, Canada. He mainly publishes papers in the fields of surface chemistry and colloid chemistry.

The annual impact factor of 20 18 is 3.683, and JCR is divided into chemical category, zone 2, subclass and zone 3 (physical chemistry, material science). In recent years, the number of articles published every year is about 1700. Langmuir is a standard peer-reviewed non-open source journal with a publishing cycle of half a month, a review cycle of February-March, and a click-through rate of 45%.

Langmuir adsorption theory, as a molecular thick membrane, the water surface is faced with oil composed of aliphatic chains (possibly alcohol or acid) with hydrophilic ends, and hydrophilic groups, water and hydrophobic chains gather together on the surface. According to the known volume and area of oil, it is easy to determine the film thickness before studying the molecular structure by spectroscopy.

When he continued to study filaments in vacuum and different gas environments, he began to learn about hot filaments (charged particles emit thermionic emission). He was one of the earliest scientists engaged in plasma research, and it was the first time to call these ionized gases by that name, because they reminded him of plasma. Langmuir and Tonks discovered Langmuir wave, which is now called plasma electron density wave.
