Sun Jun, 1969, born on June 22nd in Changchun, Jilin, is a professional basketball player in China.

1986 joined the national youth team, 1989-2000 served in the national team of China, 1999 served as the captain of the national team coached by Jiang Xingquan. In 2003, he was re-elected as the captain of China national team coached by Jiang Xingquan. Sun Jun never officially retired, but he began to fade out of the stadium in 2005.

Because of Sun Jun's core position in the Northeast Tiger Basketball Team, he has been a coach in the team for a long time. Since 2003, he has been the general manager of Jilin Northeast Tiger Basketball Club. On June 29th, 2008, Sun Jun became the assistant coach of Dongguan Cheetah, and used his fame to enhance the influence of Dongguan team in CBA. On February 29th, 2008, Sun Jun became the executive coach of Dongguan Cheetah.
