The Call of the Wild was inspired by a trip by Jack London in Dawson. 1897, Jack London left San Francisco and went to Stewart River via Dell Beach. From here, he crossed Lingman Lake, Li Bingran Lake, Taigexian Lake, Marsh Lake and Wuli Lake, and finally reached Dawson.
