2. Clinical classification
Clinically, it can be divided into primary epilepsy and secondary epilepsy according to its etiology. Primary epilepsy refers to epilepsy without brain organic or metabolic diseases, which occurs in children and adolescence. The etiology of secondary epilepsy is caused by various brain organic diseases or metabolic disorders, such as: ① brain diseases: including congenital brain dysplasia, birth injury, craniocerebral injury, brain abscess, brain tumor, encephalitis, cerebrovascular disease, brain degeneration and so on.
