Insulating gloves must be worn for high voltage test, and the telescopic insulating rod of electroscope must be fully stretched. When testing electricity, the hand must be held at the handle, and it is not allowed to cross the retaining ring. The human body should keep a safe distance from the electricity testing equipment. Outdoor direct electricity inspection is not allowed in rainy and snowy weather.

For equipment that cannot be directly tested, indirect tests can be conducted, that is, changes in mechanical indication position, electrical indication, instrument and charged display device of the disconnector should be checked, and at least two or more indications should change at the same time. In case of remote control operation, it is necessary to check the status indication, telemetry, remote control signal and indication of live display device of the disconnector for indirect test.

For electrical equipment of 330kV and above, indirect electricity inspection method can be used for electricity inspection. An electroscope or insulating rod with appropriate voltage level, qualified test and valid period must be used. Insulating gloves must be worn for high-voltage electricity inspection. 10 kv and below lines, as well as trackless DC lines, should use electroscope to check the electricity; For lines of 35 kV and above, insulated poles can be used for discharge.

For multi-layer lines erected on the same pole, low voltage should be applied first and then high voltage; A priori lower layer, a posteriori upper layer. Each phase on both sides of electrical equipment must be checked to prevent accidents caused by one side or one phase being charged.
