How to write the opening report of graduation thesis and what is its format?
I just finished writing my undergraduate thesis. My basic steps on how to write the opening report are as follows:

The steps of opening the topic report specifically include: selecting a topic; Collect and analyze data and conduct preliminary research on the subject; Determine the topic; Write the opening report in writing; Report to the tutor and review group; Write a paper or repeat the above steps.

1, about topic selection.

(1) The topic should be something I am familiar with, and it should be able to give full play to my specialty. The content should be related to my major. Some undergraduates unconsciously write other professional topics when choosing the topic of graduation thesis, which should be avoided as far as possible.

(2) the topic of the topic should be small, that is, the scope of discussion should be small. For example, the research on rural social security system is less than that on social security system, while the research on fund raising, utilization, endowment insurance and cooperative medical care in rural social security system is more targeted.

(3) The topic selection should be timely, but the actual effect is relative. For example, the issue of "agriculture, countryside and farmers" is hot now, and the analysis of land system in Tang and Song Dynasties may be of reference significance to China's future land reform, but the analysis of China's land system between 1955 and 1978 may be out of date.

(4) The title of the topic should be standardized, concise and unambiguous.

2. About data collection.

(1) In terms of data collection, the early stage is wide and the late stage is narrow, so determine the topic as soon as possible;

(2) The thesis writing needs to refer to various articles and books related to the topic. Generally speaking, bachelor's degree, master's degree and doctoral thesis may need about 10, 30 and 100 respectively. Judging from the published doctoral dissertations, there are 30 references and more than 300 references.

(3) Important information can be saved by copying. When you see the information related to the paper, you can record the name, viewpoint and page number of the information for future reference when writing. At the same time, when collecting information, we should record all the items that need reference.

Opening report format:

This is what our school requires ~ ~

1, literature review

2. The purpose and content of the main research.

3. Research methods and means.

4, the expected goal

5. Research progress plan

Step 6 refer to

Specifically, the opening report generally includes the following aspects:

1, the meaning of the topic. The significance of topic selection includes theoretical significance and practical significance. The former refers to the ability to put forward a new theory or viewpoint, or to verify an existing theory with specific data, while the latter involves the realistic background of the research problem and can provide suggestions or comments to relevant economic entities and policy authorities.

2. Literature review. The literature review part includes the origin of the theory, the existing research on this subject at home and abroad, and my evaluation of the evolution process of related theories. On this basis, this paper points out the shortcomings of the existing research and puts forward the problems that need to be studied.

3. Research methods. That is, the research methods involved in thesis writing have many specific names and different meanings. You can briefly state your "research method" in the opening report, because it involves methodological issues, which are often difficult to express clearly and easily lead to ambiguity.

4. Possible innovations and possible difficulties. You should clearly write the expected results or innovations, which is the focus of the opening report. Only with innovation and achievements will others feel that your work is valuable. At the same time, the existing research conditions and possible difficulties and problems are objectively stated in order to get help and guidance from the teachers of the marking group.

5. Thesis outline. There are two views on the outline of the paper: one is a rough outline, which is generally aimed at chapters; The second is the detailed outline, which is refined to the sections under the chapter. A detailed outline may be better, because it shows that the speaker has done a lot of work and the opening report is easier to pass.

6. References. The listed references should include: ① those read; (2) Collected but never seen; (3) not collected but closely related to this topic, need to be provided by others. After the paper is finalized, references only refer to the cited or borrowed documents. The citation of references should be standardized.
