Qiu Guixing is an academician of China Academy of Engineering. Early introduction and active promotion of the clinical application of spine fixators such as CD, TSRH and CDH systems, especially the clinical and basic research of lordosis for more than 20 years, put forward the classification method of China scoliosis (PUMC Concordia Classification) for the first time in the world. Its project "Series Research and Clinical Application of Idiopathic Scoliosis" won the second prize of National Science and Technology Progress Award.
There are nearly 30 monographs, such as Orthopedic Surgery (3rd Edition), New Spinal Surgery, Basic and Clinical Osteoporosis, Senior Physician's Desk Series-Osteology and Artificial Hip Joint, and Surgery of Eight-year Teaching Materials in Medical Colleges, and 348 articles have been published in various magazines at home and abroad. He has won 2 national science and technology second prizes, Beijing science and technology second prize, Chinese medicine science and technology second prize, State Education Commission third prize, Ministry of Health second prize and so on. And won a number of hospital medical achievement awards and scientific and technological achievement awards, and was awarded five patents: enjoying special government allowances from the State Council.
