How to improve Sino-Japanese relations and promote the peaceful development of China and Japan?
In recent years, while the economic and trade relations between China and Japan are getting better and better, the political relations between the two sides have further slipped into the abyss of indifference. The contrast between the two is so great that unless the political situation is improved, it is almost impossible for economic relations to continue. Sino-Japanese relations have always been a sensitive topic. Quite a few people in China gnash their teeth and are filled with indignation when they talk about Japan. From a personal point of view, I will briefly talk about my views on Sino-Japanese relations.

Sino-Japanese relations have always been a sensitive topic, mainly because of historical issues, Taiwan Province Province issues and Diaoyu Islands issues. Historical issues have always been a matter of great concern to us. As a scholar said, although the war between the two countries has long since ended, this heavy historical legacy has been passed down from generation to generation. Nowadays, the political situation is grim. For political issues (such as the Taiwan Province Province issue and the Diaoyu Islands issue), we should adhere to territorial integrity, rationally analyze the issues, and strive for a peaceful solution. Only by defending the territorial integrity of the country can we defend our dignity in the modern world and stand firm as a powerful country. China is no longer the China it used to be. Our government will not allow it to invade China, nor will the people of China1400 million.

China and Japan should adhere to the concept of "eliminating political obstacles", improve the level of security dialogue and military exchanges, alleviate and even solve territorial and maritime problems, and carry out cooperation in large-scale economic projects. In addition, China and Japan should promote the process of economic integration in East Asia, adhere to the position of encouraging peace and promoting talks on regional hot issues such as the DPRK nuclear issue, promote the establishment of regional security cooperation mechanisms, strengthen cooperation in non-traditional security fields, strengthen bilateral and multilateral cooperation in solving environmental and poverty problems, and strengthen policy coordination on broader international issues.

We college students should treat Sino-Japanese relations objectively and rationally. What our younger generation needs is a rational ability to distinguish right from wrong and know what is a threat and what is security; What is desirable and what is not. Patriotism doesn't have to be fought on the battlefield. It doesn't have to be bloody. It is patriotic to boycott Japanese goods, and it is patriotic to learn Japanese. In fact, everyone who struggles for his ideals in China is patriotic, because patriotism at least makes him useful to the country, not a burden to the country and society.

Looking back on the development history of Sino-Japanese relations since the war, people can see that economic cooperation has promoted the overall improvement of Sino-Japanese relations. However, the deepening of economic relations between the two countries may not necessarily enhance the mutual trust between the two governments and nationals. Facts have proved that economic interdependence is only a necessary condition for the stable development of bilateral relations, but it is not a sufficient condition. Because there is also the "toughness" of political relations. We should attach importance to Sino-Japanese relations, properly handle political issues and promote the sustained and rapid economic growth of the two countries, which is the common aspiration of the two peoples.

The continuous development of Sino-Japanese friendship is the common aspiration of our two peoples, and we all hope to live in a peaceful world. This trip to Japan has benefited me a lot and I have a deeper understanding of Sino-Japanese relations. When it comes to territorial issues, we will never give in. This is the dignity of a country. As college students, we should always keep a clear head and defend the territorial integrity and dignity of the country. We should develop Sino-Japanese political and economic cooperation in a friendly way on the basis of upholding territorial integrity, hoping that Sino-Japanese relations can be eased. The sound development of Chinese and Japanese friends is the common aspiration of our two peoples.
