A can be responsible for B's refusal to pay, but the reason is not because the check is overdue. Cheques are different from sight drafts. If the holder of the sight draft fails to present payment to the drawee within a reasonable time, the drawer and all endorsers will be relieved of their responsibilities. However, if the holder fails to present the payment within a reasonable time, the drawer shall still be responsible for the cheque, unless the holder's delay in presenting it causes the drawer to suffer losses.

In the above example, because of B's late prompt, A suffered a loss. Then Party A is not responsible for the check, because if Party B withdraws money in time, Party A will not suffer losses, so it is not responsible for the check. If all creditors can still get a certain percentage of compensation during the bankruptcy liquidation of Bank C, then Party A, as the depositor's creditor, shall repay the compensation allocated to Party B. If Party A gets 30% of the compensation, it shall pay the same percentage of compensation to Party B, and shall not be responsible for the remaining 70%.
