Local feelings have always been the feelings that writers can't hide, even the writer's complex. Articles with local feelings all reveal the writer's strong homesickness and entrust him with different feelings and expectations for his hometown. Let's make a comparison between Lu Xun's hometown, which has always been pungent and sharp, and Shen Congwen's Border Town, which is full of poetry and painting.
First, recall the scene of hometown to show "sadness" or "beauty"
Lu Xun's hometown is sad. Thousands of miles apart, more than 20 years later, I returned to my hometown: the weather was gloomy, the sky was in a hurry, the village was bleak and the door was silent. Such a hometown gives people "no vitality" 1. Seeing this scene, Lu Xun was filled with sadness and helplessness. "I remember my hometown. My hometown is much better. " 2. Lu Xun, who has not returned to his hometown, still has a little expectation for his hometown, but the reality is that he is still lost for such a desolate hometown. Lu Xun once said "hometown is also". Defend your hometown and maintain the last trace of dignity. But Shen Congwen's hometown is full of beautiful scenery. "There is a small white tower by the stream", but the still water is still clear and transparent, the wind is sunny and the bamboo is "green". 5 ..... Shen Congwen described a realistic version of "Xanadu" for us. The small mountain town in Chadong is poetic and picturesque, "fascinating everywhere. 6 ".This border town scene is exactly what Shen Congwen described in his mind. This small mountain city is beautiful, not polluted by the outside world, as pure and warm as heaven.
Second, see whether the old man is "cold strange" or "kind and gentle"
At home, Yang Er's sister-in-law saw Lu Xun sneer and deliberately said, "It's over? This is really a noble vision. " 7. As an elder, the party has no feelings at all and is becoming more and more snobbish; My childhood friend Runtu was a lively and brave boy, but now he is not the handsome Runtu who likes to share strange things with Mr. Lu Xun. Instead, he saw him. "His attitude finally became respectful, and he clearly shouted," Sir! ..... "8 Yang Er's sister-in-law, the obvious change of moistening the soil startled Lu Xun. The original acquaintance has long been a stranger, and there is a gap between Lu Xun and Runtu. The old people lost their original warmth and gradually became strangers. It depicts the ugliness of human nature. Strong local complex, there is a fault with acquaintances, which is equivalent to a gap with hometown. Lu Xun had some expectations when he returned to his hometown, because he knew that Runtu was still there, but with the passage of time and the class gap, the two had already become strangers. The old house, the scenery of my hometown, has gradually really moved away from Lu Xun. However, Border Town depicts the warm side of human nature for us. Cui Cui's grandfather never charged the mountain people for the ferry. When the ship approached, he also intimately reminded them to slow down. Even if he is forced to give grandpa money, he has to ask someone to buy tea and cigarettes. "Those who need these in the transition will be generous. "9. We can see that in this small town, the people who change places are very kind and the ferry manager is very generous. What you gave me exudes a warm human flavor. Knowing the news of grandpa's death, Yang Yi took on the responsibility of support without hesitation. Even strangers have feelings. In Shen Congwen's eyes, "more human, more human" 10.
Third, look at the author's "hope" or "spiritual comfort"
The miraculous picture flashed by Lu Xun is the most tender memory ever, with his hope and ideal color. In his mind, the sky in his hometown should be dark blue, and below it is a green watermelon, and a vibrant young man is stabbing him. Such a lively scene is what Lu Xun has been looking forward to, symbolizing Lu Xun's hope and sustenance for his hometown. Lu Xun, who has not returned to his hometown, has been spurned by the world. He is depressed and has no place to vent his feelings. In Shaoxing, a small place, Lu Xun gave it hope of life. For example, at the end of the article, "Hope doesn't matter, it doesn't matter. It's like a road on the ground. In fact, there is no road on the ground. If there are more people walking, it will become a road. " 1 1 This is an inspiration to people, even if life is desperate, we must find a way out. Lu Xun gave his hometown a kind of hope, hope that hope can be realized, and a tragic figure who was deeply tortured by society like Runtu could create a new life. In Border Town, Shen Congwen often lives in the city, tired of the ugly city and secular life, and calls himself a "countryman". Coupled with long-term writing fatigue, he begged to build a utopia to comfort himself and pursue the destination of his soul. The tranquility and purity of Chadong Mountain City have brought Shen Congwen a world of spiritual comfort, transcending the secular world and purifying Shen Congwen's mind. Cui Cui is the beautiful embodiment of Shen Congwen's mind. The scenery created by nature in Border Town, these harmonious and beautiful things, and the holy land without utilitarian heart all make Shen Congwen dream.
? The countryside written by Lu Xun and Shen Congwen is the attachment complex between man and nature, which reveals their deep love in their bones. People and nature in different hometowns have brought them different feelings. As the saying goes, "a tree is ten feet high, and the fallen leaves return to their roots." Hometown, whether down and out, tragic or beautiful, is the ultimate yearning of people, and it is also what Lu Xun and Shen Congwen have long yearned for.
