Graduation Design (Thesis) Writing Format
I. Basic structure
Graduation thesis or design specification should be composed of title, abstract, table of contents, preface (introduction), text, conclusion, thanks, references and appendix.
(A) the structure of graduation thesis
1. Title: Title, whose main function is to summarize the central content of the whole paper. The topic should be accurate, appropriate, vivid, short and concise. Topics generally do not exceed 20 words, and you can use the main subtitle.
2. Abstract: Abstract is a high generalization of the paper and an indispensable part of a long paper. It is required to write in Chinese and English respectively. An abstract of not less than 300 words, marked with 3-5 keywords.
3. Content: Reflect the outline of the paper. The table of contents should list the titles of all the components of the whole paper, and indicate the page numbers item by item, including the pages of references, appendices, charts, indexes and other ancillary parts, so that readers can find them easily.
4. Foreword: Foreword is equivalent to the beginning of the paper, and it is the first paragraph of a three-part paper (the last two paragraphs are theory and conclusion). The preface and the abstract are not exactly the same, so the abstract should be highly summarized and concise, and the preface should be more specific, with the text of 1000 words or so. The preface should generally include the following contents: (1) Why do you want to write this paper, what problems should be solved, and what are the main viewpoints. (2) Comments on the existing literature within the research topic of this paper (including the historical review related to the topic, the source, nature and application of data, etc. (3) Explain the problems to be solved in this paper, as well as the research means, methods and means adopted. Define the boundary and scale of research work. (4) Summarize the results and significance of this study.
5. Text: The text of the paper is the author's detailed statement of his research work. It should include the following contents: (1) Theoretical analysis: the basic information such as analysis methods and calculation methods used are explained in detail; It is pointed out that the analytical methods, calculation methods and experimental methods that should be adopted are existing, improved and created by themselves, so as to guide teachers to review and correct. Don't be too long, outline them in concise and clear words. (2) If the research purpose is achieved through investigation and study, the purpose, object, scope, time, place, process and method of investigation must be briefly described. Samples, data, new discoveries, etc. What is mentioned in the investigation should be explained in detail. (3) Results and discussion: For results and analysis, tables and charts should be used appropriately. The number of words in the paper should be no less than 6.5438+0.5 million words.
6. Conclusion: The conclusion includes the conclusion of summarizing and synthesizing the whole research work. The conclusion reflects the author's research results, expresses the author's views and opinions on the research topic, and is the ideological essence of the full text, which is generally general and short in length. Pay attention to the following points when writing: (1) The conclusion should be simple and clear. The wording should be rigorous and easy to understand. (2) Conclusions should reflect personal research work, and conclusions belonging to predecessors and others can be omitted. (3) We should introduce our research results realistically and avoid exaggerating.
7. Acknowledgement: For the instructor of graduation design (thesis) and the students who have given useful suggestions or help to graduation design (thesis), they should thank in writing at the end of the thesis, and their words should be sincere and realistic.
8. References: In general, all references cited in the paper should be listed. The descriptions of references are arranged in the order cited in the paper. The total number of references should be no less than 10 for papers and no less than 6 for design, and all of them should have foreign references.
9. Appendix: The following contents can be placed in the appendix: the formula derivation that is too lengthy in the text; Auxiliary mathematical tools or tables needed to facilitate others to read; Duplicate data and charts; The meanings and units of the main symbols used in this paper; Program description and the full text of the program. This part can be omitted.
(B) the structure of graduation design instructions
1. The topic of solving a specific problem of a project belongs to graduation design, which includes two parts: design specification and drawings.
2. Graduation design instructions are written materials to explain and explain graduation design. Differences between graduation design instructions and papers in writing;
(1) The preface consists of the following three parts: the purpose and significance of the design, the brief introduction of the development of the design project, and the introduction of the design principle and scale;
(2) The text includes two parts: scheme demonstration and calculation of main parameters.
3. Requirements for the number of graduation design drawings: The number of drawings for design topics (converted into No.0 drawings) shall be no less than 2.5, including 2 computer drawings (CAD) and no less than 1 sheet by hand. Drawings shall conform to national standards. After the completed design drawings are reviewed by the graduation design guidance teacher, the reviewer shall sign the review guidance.
Second, the typesetting requirements
(1) Basic requirements
Paper type: A4 paper, double-sided printing;
Margin: top 2.54cm, bottom 2.54cm, left 2.5cm and right 2.5cm.
Header: 1.5cm, footer: 1.75cm, left side binding.
The unified requirements for headers and footers are:
(1) All pages shall be numbered consecutively with Arabic numerals. The page number should start from the first page of the preface, which is 1 page.

(3) The page number must be marked in the middle position at the bottom of the footer of each page, with small numbers of five, √,.
(4) Even pages and odd pages have different headers. The odd page header is "Graduation Design (Thesis) of Shandong Jiaotong University" and the even page header is "Author's Name: Chinese Title of Thesis".
(2) Typesetting specifications
1. Chinese abstract
(1) Print the word "abstract" in the middle (small three, bold), and the word in the middle;
(2) Print the contents of the abstract with a blank line under the word "Abstract" (small four-song typeface, 1.25 times line spacing);
(3) Print the word "keywords" (bold small four) on the bottom line after the abstract content, followed by keywords (small four), separated by commas, without punctuation marks after the last keyword.
2. English abstract
(1) Print "Summary" in the middle (small three, Times New Roman font, bold), and then print the English summary in the following two lines;
(2) The content of the abstract is set to: Primary Four, Times New Roman font, 1.25 times line spacing, and four empty characters are left at the beginning of each paragraph;
(3) Print "keywords" (small four, Times New Roman font, bold) on the bottom line after the abstract content, followed by keywords, each keyword is lowercase except the first letter, separated by commas, and no punctuation marks are added after the last keyword.
3. Contents:
The word "directory" is in small three bold, printed in the center, with a word between the two words; The next chapter, section, section and its starting page number (small four); Chapters, sections and sections are marked with 1, 1. 1, 1. 1 respectively, and the titles in the table of contents should be consistent with the titles in the text.
4. Preface:
The word "preface" is printed in small three bold, and there is a space between the two words. The text of the preface is set as: small four, song style, 1.25 times line spacing.
5. Text (reference writing)
(1) The chapter name of each chapter is set as: No.3, bold, left, 1.5 times the line spacing, 0.5 lines after the paragraph and 0 before the paragraph. Start a new page for each chapter. Chapter numbers are Arabic numerals.
(2) There are sections under the chapter, and the section name of each section is set as: No.4, bold, left, 1.5 times line spacing, 0 after the paragraph and 0.5 lines before the paragraph.
(3) There are sections under the section, and the title of each section is set as: Xiao No.4, bold, left, 1.5 times the line spacing, 0 after the festival and 0.5 lines before the festival.
(4) The text is set to: No.4, Song Ti, 1.25 times the line spacing. The titles in this paper are marked with (1) and (1) in turn.

6. Conclusion
The conclusion title is set as: No.3, bold, centered, 0.5 line after the paragraph, 0 before the paragraph, and the word "conclusion" is empty.
The text of the conclusion is set as: No.4, Song typeface, multi-line spacing 1.25, spacing: 0 lines before and after, and the first line of each paragraph is indented by 2 words.

The title of thank you is set to: small three, bold, centered, 0.5 line after the paragraph, 0 before the paragraph, and there is a blank word between the words "thank you".
The text of the thank-you note is set as: Primary Four, Song Style, multi-line spacing 1.25, and the first line of each paragraph is indented by two words.
8. Reference
The title of the reference is set as: No.3, bold, centered, 0.5 line after the paragraph and 0 before the paragraph.
Font setting for the reference content: No.5, ì, multi-line spacing 1.25, and 0 before and after paragraphs.
9. Appendix
The title of the appendix is set as: small three, bold, centered, 0.5 line after the paragraph, 0 before the paragraph, and there is a blank word between the words "appendix".
The text of the appendix is set as follows: Primary Four, Song style, multi-line spacing 1.25, and the first line of each paragraph is indented by two words.
Third, writing norms.
1. Attached drawing

2. Form:
Location of (1) table
The table is arranged in the center.
(2) Leave a blank line in the table and below.
(3) If there are any notes in the table, they should be arranged in sequence with Arabic numerals and right half brackets (such as note 1), and the notes should be written at the bottom of the table.
(2) Writing of table names
(1) The table name should be at the top and middle of the table. When numbering, they shall be numbered in chapter order, as shown in Table 2. 1 and Table 2.2.

3. Formula
Formula writing should start a new line in the text, arranged in the middle, without punctuation at the end of the formula; The formula numbers are numbered in chapter order, and the formula numbers are listed at the end of the line, such as (2. 1) and (2.2).

(2) Reference format example
People have different views on the origin of thematic teaching method. 6. Nouns and names?
Scientific and technological terms should adopt the standardized terms published by the National Committee for the Examination and Approval of Natural Science Terms or the names specified in national standards and ministerial standards. For terms that are not uniformly defined or whose names are controversial, the usual names can be used. When foreign abbreviations are used to replace noun terms, the meaning should be indicated in brackets when they first appear, such as CPU (Central Processing Unit) instead of computer central processing unit. Generally well-known foreign names (such as Newton, Einstein, Darwin, Marx, etc. ) can be translated according to the usual standard translation methods. ?
7. Quantity and unit?
The quantity and units in graduation project (thesis) must adopt China people's * * * and national standard GB3 100-GB3 102-93, and adopt the international system of units (SI). Units of non-physical quantities, such as pieces, stations, people, yuan, etc. , can be combined with Chinese characters and symbols, such as piece/station, yuan/kilometer. ?

The use of figures must comply with the new national standard GB/T 15835- 1995 "Regulations on the Use of Figures in Publications".
