Application field of ultrasonic motor
The application fields of ultrasonic motors can be summarized as follows:

1) aerospace field

Aerospace vehicles are often under severe conditions such as high vacuum, extreme temperature, strong radiation and ineffective lubrication, and the system weight is required to be high. Ultrasonic motor is the best choice for driver.

2) The electromagnetic motor of precision instruments uses gear box to reduce speed to increase torque. Because of gear clearance and return error, it is difficult to achieve high positioning accuracy, while the ultrasonic motor can be directly driven, with fast response and good control characteristics, and can be used in precision instruments.

3) Joint drive of robot

Using the ultrasonic motor as the joint driver of the robot, the fixed part and moving part of the joint can be integrated with the stator and rotor of the ultrasonic motor respectively, making the whole mechanism very compact. The spherical ultrasonic motor developed in Japan has solved many problems for the driving of multi-degree-of-freedom robots.

Micro-actuator in MEMS technology

As the core of micromechanics, micromotor is an important symbol of the development level of micromechanics. In the manufacture and research of micro-electro-mechanical systems (MEMS), most motors are millimeter-scale. The medical field is one of the most representative fields in the application of MEMS technology. Ultrasonic motors have been applied to surgical robots and surgical instruments.

5) Where electromagnetic interference is strong or not allowed.

Electromagnetic motor can't work normally in the environment of nuclear magnetic vibration and the condition of maglev train running, but ultrasonic motor can.
